How to get refund from Paypal after 45 days? Scammed from AF Member

I purchased a rainbow jeans from ebay in March. This seller is a member of both authentic forum and honest forum as I saw her listing the same jeans here. I have also communicated with her from this site concerning the jeans I purchased.

I paid her the day I won the item from ebay. She forgot to send my package with the rest of her stuff to mail during the first week. Second week she claims to have sent me the package. She gave me a tracking number that is not even valid. I was very understanding because I thought she made a mistake. I sent her an email and she did not reply me for a week or so.

Once again, as she is a member here, I was more trusting of her. I also saw that she posts on the website every once in a while. I noticed that she even had trouble with paypal and was asking for advice from people in this forum.

At last she replied my email and claimed that she lost the "correct" tracking number because she was in a rush. So i kept waiting for my jeans, and after a month and a half of waitiing, I confronted her again.

So she said she'll give me a refund. I have been waiting for a month since then and she has still not given me a refund!

How do I open a dispute with paypal as it is over 45 days?

I am so angry because I was so trusting and patient with her!! I also want to caution others than just because they are a member here, it does not mean that you won't be scammed!

paypal gives you 45 days to open a dispute. i'm not sure what you can do after that. waiting 45 days for a shipment is stupid too. after 2 weeks i would have contacted paypal.

Did you pay with your Credit Card through Paypal? If so, you may be able to do a chargeback.

You can no longer file a paypal dispute if it has been 45 days. You need to file a chargeback w/ your CC. Do it ASAP.

Please confirm the users forum ID.

1866-643-3720 Call that number. I had no idea but you can actually file claims over the phone to a customer service center. And they are quick.

Matter of fact, have you tried to even open a claim yet? Because i do a lot on Ebay and I have opened a claim and been refunded and it was 2 months after I paid.

I'm sure the seller was assuring or something so that the OP would be so trusting and patient. That's not stupidity, it's just the consequence of being trusting.

Well that's wonderful. This is for an item NOT received and this is for a transaction that took place on the forum NOT eBay. Please just sit back and let people who know what they are doing handle this.

Also just for the record ... an item breaking after 2 months is NOT something you should file a dispute for. You should either contact the manufacturer of the item to use the product warranty to fix it or if you broke the item suck it up and buy another one. It's dishonest shit like this that makes it difficult for sellers everywhere.

Well we don't know if that was the case. Waiting 45 days to get a pair of jeans is kind of excessive. If someone told me that they were "shipped" and I didn't recieve it within 30 days, I sure would have at least opened a dispute so that Paypal could back me up. I'm not saying in any way that the OP is stupid, I'm just saying that I would have at least opened a dispute within the time frame.

30 days is when I would recommend filing ... anything more is a bit excessive.

No need to be rude about it. Actually I paid 1500 dollars for some chrome rims and 2 months later all 4 started peeling off chrome. They were supposedly Brand NEW and BRAND NEW rims do not peel. After trying to settle with the seller and getting no where I did the claim and won.

Especially if you stop hearing from the seller after a few weeks. The second someone gives you the runaround about a eBay item, file a dispute.

If brand new rims don't peel ... why would used rims peel. Again this sounds like a manufacturers defect which is something that should be taken up under warranty with the manufacturer. With just a quick google search it looks like new rims have a warranty period of 90 days up to 2 years for some which means you should have used the warranty rather then file a dispute. It even states specifically peeling in many of the warranties which means this is a problem on NEW rims. Rather then file a dispute against the seller you should use the warranty....

Anyways the information is incorrect in this case.

Sorry my error there ... still 45 days is the cut off time. As I already suggested file a chargeback. Or if you like you can waste more time listening to this expert and call eBay.
