Why they called them 'samples'

The last pair of Taylors are fake, so definitely not those.

If you really like your Neil Ultimatums and the way they fit, then I don't think you would like the Floyd Decays. Decay is an awesome wash, but there is a big difference from a Neil straight legged fit to a Floyd bootcut. BTW, both those auctions for the Decay are from Admin/Mods here.

thanks a lot. Whether all Floyds have the same cut?
I have the pair of Floyd Devolution (very nice IMO) and it seem to me they would be fit good if they had not been very small foir me.

All Neils that I have been seen on ebay for few last weeks are ugly. Where is no Ultimatums now. What else can I look for besides Neil?

to idalis:
Thanks for your attention and this very helpful forum. Of course, I have read description. What do you think about "when the designers are coming up with ideas for the next season's line" concerning of these Floyd Decays? Was those ideas right or wrong in this case? :)

Hi. The 2nd auction is indeed mine. Regarding what a sample is, from that auction:

"CONDITION AND INFO ABOUT SAMPLES: Brand new sample. No hangtag outside, Sample tags inside - Because this is a sample, it has paper sample tags inside (as well as the normal retail size tag), as seen in the photo. Also has some black marker writing on the inside pocket linings. Sample pairs are made as "examples" when the designers are coming up with ideas for the next season's line, or may be extras or pairs made for other purposes than distribution for retail sale (photo shoots, etc). These pairs may vary slightly from the full-retail version that are eventually produced, in terms of tags, wash, and hardware. "

Well the pair was produced for retail, so I guess they decided they were "right". They are not an unproduced/unique sample if that's what you are asking.

Yes, all Floyds are the same cut. Floyd is the style name.

Well the pair was produced for retail=QUOTE]

There are two ways for brand new RR jeans - STD and retail, right?

They are not an unproduced/unique sample if that's what you are askingQUOTE]

I just wanted to know if these samples have visible differences from usual Floyd Decays which have so many fans. Mayby different tone? I tried to compare fotos from guide and from your auction but it is rather hard, so I could not clear my mind yet.
Thanks

The other pair is mine!!! :rofl There is nothing "unnormal" about it, as stated in the listing they are missing the tag that is supposed to be on the waist band.

Just to add a bit of info about "samples" . The pairs can also be overruns which just means that when a company requests a specific number of items be made, the manufacturer always makes more than the company requests. So if R&R requested that 10000 pairs of Floyd Decay be manufactured they would actually make 11000 pairs (or something) to account for any pairs that might not be 1st quality, get damaged in the manufacturing process etc. It doesn't mean the pairs will be defective, it just means there were extra pairs that were not needed to meet the sale qty that the company needed - some may be defective, some will not be. If they only have orders from retailers for 10000 pairs they would either need to find someone to buy the remainder, sell it off as samples, destroy it ...

and yes those taylors are fake.
