Ok, Ive never seen anything like this before.

The rear beltline tag reminds me of dvb crowns with a custom logo and a pocket R not quite like anything found on an amethyst,alpha, or raw wash? The wash code is listed as MCHX (mechanix blue? after Mike & the Mechanics? just guessing) They also have a custom inner pocket liningin that MB theme.

I would have questioned the authenticity but the listing feature plenty of pix including the back of a serial numbered micro-thread Authentic tag and other R&R tags and microstitching. Hems have been castrated to 29" with raw edges. If these are not real, they are at least an imaginative fake.

I believe they are kind of odd/unusual but real but I would appreciate a review from our experts.

They're real. They were part of a special collection they did last year, but they were all pretty boring.

Thanks much Steph. These are a little small for me but they would fit my youngest daughter if the price holds. I agree about the "boring" observation; I didn't find the wash or the pocket stitching overly "inspiring" but they are "unique"... gonna have to think about it.

So... I guess the MB had to do with the brief appearance in Fall '08 of Maria Buccellati. I didn't really see anything much when webcrawling and I guess R&R has moved on, so I'm not getting much as far as specific offerings in this line. I got that she did a make-up line for R&R? and had a bathing suit collection prior to her "debut" at R&R... but I'm getting zip on the jeans except a rear pocket pic of the ones I posted and a brief clip at DenimBlog.

Just a heads up - that seller mediabroadcastservices is extremely dishonest.

She sent me a pair of "excellent" condition jeans that were extremely thinned at the butt in two different places and a hole was forming. She refused to refund. I sent it back to her but she never gave me any of my money back. So in the end she had my money and the jeans. Then she relisted the same jean without mentioning any of the thinning/hole.

Other members have also told me that this seller ends auctions frequently if the price is too low, but doesn't use a reserve, and relists them. So don't get too excited at her $0.99 auctions, you won't be able to actually buy it unless the price is high enough for the seller.

Very shady.
