Thumbs up DIOR PURE LIGHT 50% water-based foundation #200

PRO: Very smooth and light. Goes on sheer and liquidy - not thick and creamy. Blends well and gives off a nice and sheer glow. Actually this is just a few percentage more coverage than an average tinted moisturizer. All you need is 1 pump and you can blend it all over your face. THe great great thing about it is, it leaves your skin soft and feeling hydrated, not oiled up and thick/cakey with that usual I have liquid foundation on feeling. My pores are still clear after 2 days of use, no breakouts or irritations. I usually dab left overs under my eyes, and surprisingly its GREAT too! No cakey-ness/dryness/or lines from doing this. Oh and its totally NOT OILY OR GREASY...but doesn't leave me feeling dry!

CON: The bottle cap feels kinda loose and glass bottles scare me cuz I am a klutz! Oh and lack of color selection (4). So basically 4 stars due to lack of colors which I think is very important especially when some of the other Dior foundations have like 8-9 shades!

Yayy!!
That is so odd.. no oil, but doesn't make you feel dry. I gotta try this!
Regardless of the lack of colors, are they yellow toned?

200 seems pretty yellow. 202 becomes peachy. 300 is darker beige. 100 is fair/ivory.

I'm a little bit lighter than you but #200 looks pretty light so maybe it'll be okay for me. I'm afraid #100 is too light/pinkish. Is it oil-free?

Since its pretty sheer it kinda works well on me and it blends pretty well, so I think if you're a shade or so darker or lighter it will work still. My face right now is whiter than my avatar pic (went to the beach for a week).

Sounds promising, I'll give it a shot next time I'm at a Dior counter, thanks BTW, what's the ETA of that setting of yours?

I went to see it today, they cast like a metal model for me to critique. Wax was too hard to work with because i wanted a really thin/delicate band.

IT LOOKS AWESOME (from what I can tell now). They just need 10 more days because supposedly my setting "is very delicate and hard to make". But even with the 10 more days, it's still on schedule, but at first we thought that it might be LESS than 10 days - guess not!

So on the 10th...I will get it! Sadly, my fiance (swwOOOn at the word) is leaving for Shanghai on the 11th for a week. The ring can keep me company!

Aww, I'm so excited for you! I can't wait to see it!
I hope you get it before the *fiance* leaves lol.
Are you getting a 2mm band?

BTW, I'm not intentionally following you around.

its 1.5mm! hahah its OK...I love talking about my ring!

2mm is nice, but since its a halo prong style, its going to be overpowering w/so much metal going on everywhere if I made it bigger. If I did a single band and pop the diamond on top, then I might go wider.

That makes sense. You must know quite a bit about jewelry making. Good thing you're getting it custom made, I doubt they'd have anything less than 2mm in stores Blue Nile doesn't carry anything less than 2.5mm.
I think it's so cool that you get to design your own setting!!
