| I love love love this flat iron! I have had a CHI for many years, and never thought I'd love another brand as much. The Croc most definitely delivers! I have very thick, wavy/slightly curly hair, and it is a PITA to blow dry my hair(30 minutes), and then flat iron it(another 30 minutes), so the wet to dry feature is my godsend! It took me a little while to get the hang of straightening wet hair - you will need to pass the iron over the same clump of hair at least 3 times to get it perfectly dry and straight, so to prevent burning your fingers you will need to use a comb. I got one from walmart that clamps down, making it easier to grab the hair after you pass the iron through it. And use an iron guard!! Results are superb.
The iron also works great on dry hair. I prefer to wash my hair at night and let it air dry, then straighten in the morning(but of course the wet to dry feature is awesome for when I'm too lazy to shower at night, or when I want to shower before I go out). I love the design of the iron. It is very lightweight and easy to hold, with a thumbgrip to help prevent touching the hot plate(which I had done more than once with my CHI). The plates glide smoothly through the hair, and it only takes one or two passes to get the hair perfectly straight. It is also very easy to flip the hair and give it some volume. I have not tried curling with it yet. |
