| | | Avene Eluage I have been using this about a week and so far my results have been good. Mainly I haven't had any cystic like breakouts that I got from Retin-A and Taz. It does make my skin sensitve, but then so did all the other Retinoid
products. I am having some slight purging, but it usually goes away in a day or so. Overall my skin just looks better and brighter. I am going to have to find a better fash wash that doesn't burn though, since my skin is so sensitve. I did just jump right in to using it night, so I may just cut back to every other night.
Right now, 4 Stars...only missing one because of the price versus the quantitiy to receive.

| | | Justchar, is this a prescription item? I'm looking for a retinoid that doesn't require a prescription. |

| | This is by far my most favorite retinoid that I have used, which include Retin-A and Tazorac. Both of the perscription versions made me break out with cycts and made my skin super sensitive. My skin looks brighter, though I still have blackheads and wrinkles, but I am going to incorporate Avene's Eluage Gel for lines and wrinkles I have also been using a BHA in the daytime to help with blackheads Skincare Central. I like their BHA much more than the one from Paula's Choice. The PC version just doesn't do anything for me, but the one from SC actually brings the blackheads up to the surface where they just scratch off. The combination of the Avene Eluage and BGA so far hasn't made my skin irritated or sensitve.

| | I've been using this for about six weeks now, and I love it!
I can see a visible difference in my fine and deep lines (they're still there but not as prominent imo).
Also my skin feels much smoother, and looks brighter too |

| | | I am turning 42 this year and realized that the wrinkles around the eyes, forehead, and neck were becoming more noticeable. So, what do I do? I did a search here on AF and came upon Avene Eluge.
This product is a miracle. After a week, my wife said, whoa! what the heck are you putting on your face? She started using it every other day and she has seen a difference after only a few days. She is begrudgingly using up the rest of her $100+ eye cream which hasn't done crap.
The product does make your skin very sensitive to sunlight. So, I recommend using a strong sunblock in the morning.
Here is my routine:
1. Wash face with standard Dove soap and water.
2. Apply Eluge every evening on forehead, around the eyes, and neck.
3. Wash face in the morning...while slightly damp, I apply AOX 10 Serum. I apply banana boat face wears SP30.

| | | Thanks to all the rec's here, I bought the Eluage and have been using every other night for about two weeks. I think I can start using it every night now that the flaking on my nose is diminished. I love the scent and the feel. I don't see any difference in my skin yet, but I have faith it is working long term based on the science behind it. |

| | A quick note before people get their hopes up too high: retinoids are meant for longterm use. Maximum results are achieved after nine months and more. Using them without a great sunscreen in AM does a lot of damage.

| | Agree with Jenn 100%. I made the mistake of going out in the sun for an extended period without sunscreen and my face got literally fried.
5 Stars
