Makeup reviews

I think it would be a great idea for us to start a makeup review section.....
Each week we post a different make-up item or hair care product and we rate and review our fave and least fave brands.

I'm going to start this week with Bronzer so everyone join in on what is their favorite bronzer and their least favorite and why. Lets also give them 1-5 Stars.

For you guys we can also do shaving creams/cologne/aftershave etc if you 'd like

I don't really use bronzer, but I am going to buy that Bare Minerals Warmth stuff. It's absolutely the best stuff I've used and I'm insanely pale and it still works well

Everyday minerals sparkle bronzer:

5 stars, it is fantastic, I have super fair red head skin, and I can wear this stuff, it really is just bronze sparkle powder, none of that weird brown powder in it.

Ok the bronzer i am currently using is Estee Lauder's Sun Bronze in Amber Bronze. I like it cause its loose and give an airbrushed look and a slight glow to your face. Its not cakey or too dark. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

My least favorite is MAC Bronzing powders because it rubs off way too easily and get all over my clothes. Second when i put the compact in my purse it breaks after a couple of days. I give it 2 out of 5 stars.

MAC is really heavy makeup I've noticed, too much for me. I'm obsessed with bare minerals.

^you have no idea char, like it, I love it, and the customer service is fantastic, I accidentally ordered two of the same thing, and told them, and they immediately offered to switch it out.

I love Bare Minerals, too. I use the foundation powder, the all over face color (bronzer) and the Mineral Veil. It is the best ever and the sunscreen works great!

I like my bronzers with a nice subtle sheen but no sparkles or else they look kinda fake.
i recommend Face

Even the pink color is like a "bronzer type pink". Its really nice. 5 stars but 2 stars for the price!

I love it. I used to hate bronzer but once I bought these I wear it on a day to day basis. It was about $36.

Another good bronzer that I used to use is Benefits Hoola. Its pretty sheer and matte and doesnt have any of the sparkle to it so it gives you more a natural tan look. I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

The only one I have ever tried was the BE one that came with the kit I bought. I have nothing to compare to but I like it. It gives me some colour and I only need very little each time. The small container I have is going to last forever.

I just ordered the Bobbi one in Natural! Love that duo blush/bronzer, but they were sold out of it at Neimans... so I bought the two separate.

I have Clinique True Bronze in Sunswept...I like it a lot b/c it gives my face a nice tan glow to it but it does have the sparklies in it. I would give it 4/5 stars b/c i like it but i havent really used anything else to compare it with besides this free Loreal bronzer i got that was waay too dark and looked unnatural.

The blush I am currently using is Benefit's Dallas. Its good for my skin tone and it has a tiny bit of shimmer to it. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. The only problem is that you have to apply alot to get the color you desire.

Before Dallas I was using Benefit's Dandelion and it was just too light for me. This blush would be great for someone with a light complexion because it gives off a light natural glow.

Both of these are $26 and can be purchased at Sephora.

I'm using Aveda Cream blush stick, in Phlox, I think it cost around $15? It's really easy to put on, it's just too dark for me, 4 out of 5. I need something for super pale skin, I think I want to try the Nars blush in orgasm or the BM clear radiance...

My latest blush i bought is MAC Golden Kitty Primpin duo. Its a dark pink on one side and a shimmery gold on the other. I love it! I got it at the cosmetics company store so it was around 1/3 off retail, think i paid around $13 for it. I give the blush 5 stars but the packaging 0 stars. The plastic top broke off a couple weeks after normal use. Dont know if this is normal for MAC, but I also had one of my eyeshadows break apart soon after i got it.

MAC always breaks on me as soon as I put it in my purse. Thats why i stopped using most of their stuff
