| | | Creme de la Mer This is the cream that dreams are made of! $120 for one ounce, but you don't need much. I use it only at night and already see an improvement of dry skin in just 3 uses. Its super thick when you put i on. It will feel heavy at first, but as is soaks in, you can't feel it at all. It smells like Heaven. I want the smell in a perfume!
5 STARS!!

| | | Nobody else uses/used it? I’ve read so many opposite opinions...
Lawgal, would you say it only improves dryness? I mean would you recommended it for other skin concerns or basically moisturizing?

| | | I think it really depends on what your skincare needs are. I have sensitive, acne prone skin, and bouts of flakiness on my face.
The cream was a chore to apply on for me, you have to warm it up a little, use a spatula, etc. It did a decent job of moisturizing and as lawgal mentioned, after it is absorbed you don't feel it clinging on the skin and it's not greasy or anything.
I just prefer the serum because it absorbs almost instantly and is a joy to apply. I tried their toner, cream and serum and out of these, I would only repurchase the serum.
That said, it leaves your skin glowing and pink after about 2 week's use. I love it.
Oh, and I think La Mer was invented for scarring initially, if you do a search you can read up about it. It's supposed to do wonders for scars etc. I did not have any scarring on my face while I was using it, but it made my dull skin look better. |

Of course it's just a moisturizer, nothing in it that does anything else. Same applies for their other products.
But hey, people should use whatever they like. That's why we have this section! You just should be aware what works for say anti-aging, and what doesn't.

All those are proven big guns in anti-aging, the most effective you can get. Add a c serum in AM, and there's nothing more effective you could do. The sunscreen needs to be stable and with good PPD. The sunscreen threads have great info. And info on retinoids here: http://makeupalley.com/account/vn.asp?u=tetrakis

| | I use the La Mer cream as well and love it - I get the big jar and it lasts forever! I tend to stick with a product once I find and like it, so I haven't really tried much else (a couple of Olay things, I think, but always back to LM). I'm a believer
