Thumbs up Mica Powders - Coastal Scents

The start of a new obsession. So many colors to choose from! I got a few about 15 or so already. They are all nice colors. Some of them work well as is, while others need to be foiled to come alive. Either way, they are fun to play with and you can also use them in lotions, nail polish, etc..whatever floats your boat. I use them mostly as eyeshadow and liner. For $1.50 a pop for the samples, you can afford to go wild.

I find the glittery ones do not have great adhesion as eyeshadow when used dry, but the pearly ones are perfect.

My colllection: in 20g jars, also from CS *black mica not pictured*
The top row and 2nd column is glitter (not all from CS)

5 Stars

just bumping this to say that Blackstar blue mica from coastal scents is EXACTLY the same as MAC's Deep Blue Green pigment which is one of my all time fav pigments. it's super duper gorgeous . I forgot about my samples that I got from CS couple months back and just got them out today to play with and found this out while swatching them.

so anyone who was interested in purchasing mac's deep blue green pigment (it's permanent at MAC pro stores only.. but it was released as limited edition in a few collections for the regular stores) - look into the blackstar blue mica.

good thing I got this early.. since I do not buy from CS anymore

I like that one too. I was able to make the aqua zone eyeshadow with the formula that they provided.

Just curious, why don't you buy from them anymore?

that's not the reason I don't buy from them, I just don't agree with how they treat their customers from what I've heard and from personal experiences that a couple of my friends had when they tried to contact kathy with questions about some of the products. coastalscents just gets everything from china and sells it for a higher price anyways, why buy from them when I can buy the same products from ebay for cheaper? and I also do not own MUFE's hd powder. I had a sample but I threw it out, I didn't like it anyways.
