My three year old feeling left out

Yes, Mason cries when he has to go to school, when we go to work, when he doesn't get to go somewhere with us. He says he doesn't want to be left alone or that we are "leaving" him.

Doesn't want to go to bed alone even though he has had no problems before. 90% of the time he goes to the grocery store or runs errands with me.

Is this a three year old thing as well as having little Sloane mobile now?
Any suggestions would be helpful

I'm not irritated with him, just makes me sad to think he believes it

I think it's probably both age and Sloane. Since Sloane is mobile now he may see her as more of "competition" and is maybe worried he's going to be left out. He's still transitioning from only child to having a sibling. I think we are still having issues with Sophie being a little jealous and I just have to keep reminding myself that it's a big change for her too I think that if you keep reassuring him, he'll be okay. Sometimes Sophie will say things like "we only love her sister and not her anymore" (which breaks my heart!!) but we just keep telling her how important she is to our family and how much she is loved. Sounds a bit cliche but she's a little kid and needs to hear/know that. I know with Sophie we also try to do stuff with just her. Good Luck
