That usually happens 7-10 days after ovulation. | this is correct. the body has to recognize the pregnancy (implantation sets off the hormones) before the level of hcg is detectable in you blood. since you'll be so close to your expected period date, they may be able to pick it up on a blood test (sometimes even with a HPT).
