Fun Thread!! Pregnancy/Parenting Rant of the Day!!

ok, i'm in a crappy mood today, so this thought came to mind: let's all post a rant of the day...it can be about being pregnant and pukey, huge, etc., having a newborn that won't sleep, etc., or about a toddler or kid that won't pick up their toys or do homework...whatever.

here's the fun part to it; the next person has to make a fun comment to make the person feel better about their day. here's an example:

"my boobs hurt; i just nursed for an hour"

next person writes:

"well, at least you HAVE boobs, i'm built like an 11-year-old boy"...then THEY post a rant.

get the idea? the point is to get a rant out and have some fun at the same time.

nice idea! i love it. lol
i have a million things to rant about, but i will spare you all and only rant once today. this is something i could rant about everyday. i'm so tired that i don't know how i function on a daily basis. i literally have not gotten more than 3 hours of sleep at a time for almost 2 years now. when i was pregnant, i was up every hour peeing. after devon was born, i was either nursing her all the time or pumping. i go to bed around 3 and get up at 6. i want to run over my breast pump or maybe demolish it with a baseball bat. i.need.sleep. bad.

OMG! No rant, just my husband does this too!!! The 2 year old stands at the hamper, gets naked and throws his clothes in...the 33 year old...not so much!

Oh boy! Just in time!

So, I just got a pair of frankie Bs from a store in cali, and they say MADE IN CHINA!!! I ran downstairs to google if frankie B had outsourced like other brands, and went upstairs a couple mins later to find the baby spraying folex into all parts of my sterio (his father left it down when STILL cleaning his mess last night), and his brother was just watching him (and probably telling him to do it, he's been telling him to do all sorts of things to get in trouble lately, wtf is wrong with him??). Anyway, yeah, that's it, I'm so pissed right now, not to mention stressed about the "chinese frankies" that, I'm not convinced are legit, even though a friend shops at the store in cali all the time.

I even called DH at work to rant/cry b/c I'm so worked up.

Does this have to be child related? Do my pets count as children?
Why do I come home from work every night to find pees and/or poops left from one of the dogs?! I don't know who the culprit is either since there are 4 stinkers running around like animals...

Shi, I love this thread! I can't contribute to the parenting/pregnancy rant but I have to chime in on the SO messiness (they count as children sometimes, right? ) My fiance has recently started to wear his socks to bed (I don't know why, it's not even cold!), and then pushes them off partway through the night so they end up balled up at the end of the bed or on the floor, 5 feet from the hamper. EVERY NIGHT!
to all the parenting rants.

TO all with messy husbands....Mine still is but not as bad as he once was. I was finally fed up one time that I decided whatever did not make it to the laundry room or laundry basket, would remain where it was and I would refuse t wash them. Needless to say, hubs ran out of socks/underwear and got the point.

My rant:

I feel like a broken record. I have to tell the girls things so many times before they actually do it and it's driving me batty. I don't understand why saying it once isn't enough.

Same here!! I have to yell at the boys over and over before they do what I've said. Nothing seems to work either, I've yelled, I've sat quietly and talked face to face, I've put them in timeouts... nothing works!

I threatened to do this, and he said he'd go buy more... so I didn't end up going through with it

Great thread!!

My hubby puts his dirty clothes ON TOP of the lid to our wicker dirty clothes basket!!

Rant for the day... almost had a heart attack that I put Sophie (DD) on the wrong bus this morning for her first day of Kindergarten! I like our school but they have neglected to tell parents (IMO), and especially parents of incoming Kindergarteners things like what # the bus is for the morning route!! I thought it was bus 20 but that's the afternoon bus, not the morning bus!!

oh, and p.s. my hubby has 45 undershirts...i wonder why?

lol, OMFG I totally understand! Chance (he's almost 12 btw) will do some retardedly annoying weird thing like that for hours! not a pillow, but just something.

rant: why the hell can't boys/men put the freaking toilet down? and seriously, how hard is it to flush the toilet? I even put up a HUGE sign in the bathroom telling them both to put the lid down and flush.

Shi, this is a totally awesome thread!

At least you're all not 39 weeks pregnant, HUGE as a COW, waddle like a duck, you can walk without pain in all your joints and pelvis, you can bend over to put your shoes on, roll over in bed with ease, don't get heartburn after every meal, can eat sushi, drink alcohol .... and the list continues

I so do not miss those days...Hope you can find some relief before the big day

I'm with everyone else on the annoying habits of children. My 4 year old daughter has stopped listening, napping, being considerate...etc. Clearly she has become smarter than me..
At least I still have my little man (almost 2 yrs.) he's still such a sweetheart

at least you will be freed from pregnancy within the next week, I still have 11 to go!

I miss sleep...and sushi...and booze...and I was growing slowly up until last week and now it seems like I'm putting on 5lbs every day
