Does anyone have the Svan or Tripp Trapp high chair?

Baby H is almost 6 months old and he's really starting to reach for food (we do baby-led solids so this is our indication that he's developmentally ready to eat something other than breast milk). We are in the market for a high chair and I love the look of both the Svan and the Tripp Trap but I'd love some opinions on ease of use/cleaning from you mamas!

I have the much more affordable Keekaroo and we love it. its fantastic, easy to clean.. Id recommend it more, just because I was able to get the baby rail, tray and seat cushions to go with it for all less than just the tripp trapp alone.

Not the best pic of it, but thats a pic I already had online.

That is really cute. How are these better than the plastic fisher price ones?

^ I believe that they can be used as regular chairs when the child is older, for one thing. I'd also guess that if you choose to sell one when you're done with it, they probably resell for a good price (although, obviously, you'll pay more for one). Probably hold up better than the cheaper ones, and could, in theory, be handed down for grandchildren.

We 4 kids and have had our fair share of high chairs over the years. I have hated every single high chair that we have owned until this last one. They were always so difficult to clean. (Oh and the ones with toys and gadgets on them are completely pointless and just cause frustration when it comes to cleaning).

I have tried Peg Perego Prima Pappa high chairs, Graco high chairs in several models and a few others as well. They all suck. My kids could always get out of them. They would slide out the bottom when they were old enough. And they were all a pain in the ass to clean. They were heavy and bulky and ugly to look at.

So with out last baby, we got the most basic highchair ever. The $20 IKEA high chair with $5 tray. Best thing EVA! So easy to keep clean and my son (who is part Monkey, I believe) could not get out of it. It is super light weight, and the legs can be removed easily so if it needs to travel with you, it can. I swear by it.

We had the Fisher Price Space Saver, that attaches to the dining room chair, as I absolutely hated the idea of the big bulky, long-legged high chair in my kitchen AND my son wanted to eat at the table, with us, not on a tray.

We absolutely loved it, so I highly recommend it. Very portable, we took it everywhere.

We have the Eddie Bauer wood one. It always worked well and didn't have any problems with it. It comes with a removable padded cloth cover that can be taken off and washed. If I remember right we also got those rubber-ish drawer liners (they come in a roll and you cut to whatever size you need) to put on the bottom (seat part) so the cover didn't slide around.

I think they run around $120 at Target

We have this fisher price seat and it is soo hard to clean. I gave him brocalli a few days ago and then this I found it in the corners and it was sooo gross and stinky. I just want to be able to put the whole thing in the shower and rinse.
