Morning sickness

I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I have tried adding B6 + antihistimine to reduce nausea and it worked but made me feel completely out of it and drugged...not good for when one is trying to work and remain gainfully employed

I have tried adding just B6 and feel no better than when I didn't take it.

I don't have an OB appt until a week from today...what can I do?? Or will I just be miserable? I'm sad and frustrated and all I want to do is sleep and cry.

Help me please.

Much love!

Have you given sea bands a try? About Acupressure | Sea-Band - the natural choice for nausea relief these helped a bit with me during my pregnancy. If you are really sick though I would call your Doctor and try to get an appointment sooner. It's not healthy for you or your baby. Hope you feel better soon

I don't know how much vomiting you are doing, but the only relief I got during my fourth pregnancy was zofran. It's expensive, but hella worth it; no drowsiness and it will alleviate at least some of the constant vomiting/nausea.

I tried everything too, but only the zofran worked. . I hope you get some reilef soon.

Diclectin is the name of the prescription I took. I had no side effects. It really saved me! Here's a couple links that reference the drug:

Ask Your Pharmacist

Dicletin.com

I hope you feel better.

ETA: I just read that its only available in Canada. Maybe DQ's is the US equivalent.

I have not had any vomitting, only nausea. I almost think that if I could vomit I might feel better at least for a little while.

So true. And unfortunate.

Maybe you could ask your ob if there is a US equivalent? The active ingreadients are doxylamine succinate and pyridoxine hydrochloride.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this...it was the worst part of being pregnant for me.

My sis has "all day" sickness. She is in her first trimester and she said that ginger works so well for her. Nothing helped me but I also did not try any of the prescriptions.

I had "all day sickness" with my youngest son for the first 4+ months,

Things that helped were "Preggie Pops" (fruit flavored hard "candy" available from othermothers, babies r us, and other places), and GinGins (hard ginger candy, I got mine from World Market, but I've seen them elsewhere). Ginger Altoids also helped. I was told to drink Ginger tea... but didnt like that.

I was given a prescription (can't remember which) but I only used it once.

Good luck, I hope you find something that works for you!

I am sorry you are so sick! I feel your pain and like you was horribly sick most of my 1st and 2nd. Now that my daughter is 14 mos it seems so far away yet you can still remember the feeling so I sympathize.

Just a few things that worked for me:
- Switched to a liquid prenatal - Buried Treasure. This made a HUGE difference
- Pita chips, couscous, Trader Joe's basic crackers
- Avoid anything acidic
- Eat often - very often - like every 1-2 hours and do not dare get out of bed before downing a few crackers or pita chips. Do not let yourself get hungry at all.
- Raspberry ginger ale was like my best friend during the 1st.

I hope you feel better soon. I know it can be so rough - hang in there.
