Hi all!

Quick intro as I invade the Paige board

My name is Helena and I usually hang around on the Rock and Republic board. This time, I fell in love with a pair of Paige jeans: They're called the Laurel Canyon Tibetan Medium Clean (Stretch--which says it's got 2% spandex).

I found 'em on ShopIntuition for $89.99...the only catch is that size 28 is the ONLY size left.

So my question is: If I'm a 26 in R&R (2% stretch) and a 27 in TR Joeys (saddleback wash, stretch) and a size 28 in TR Joey Super-T's (non-stretch) do y'all think I can get away with the Paige LC in 28? Or will it be loose? Or is the best thing to go try some on before make any (non-refundable) decisions?

I'm also wondering if that is a good price for these....

Welcome! First of all, that's a great price for Tibetans. LCs run a little bit small, IMO... but not that small. If you normally wear 27, it may work... but if you're really a 26, I'd say hold out for a smaller pair. I think they sometimes turn up at Nordstrom Rack, and I've seen them on ebay for a little under $100.

Of course, you can always buy the 28s and sell them on the AF Mall if they don't work out. But not to me. I can't buy anything!!!

Ahhh..I see...I knew one of the styles ran smaller, I didn't know it was the LC... Thank for the tutorial, WW!!

I generally use my 7FAM size as my "true" size and extrapolate on other brands' fit from there (Example: my7FAM size is 27 in stretch Medium New York...fits well, kinda on the snug side which I like). Using that as my guide, I think to myself, OK... R&R run big, TR stretch Joeys run TTS...and so on.

I think I'm leaning towards grabbing these, and if they don't work out I will AF Mall 'em...they're just so pretty! And I saw 'em on Revolve for $193, so they just seem like such a steal!

I agree with making SFAM your true size. I wear the same size in Paige as my true size in SFAM. Paige are very TTS compared to most other brands. Some washes run smaller but it is usually not necessary to size up or down. For me HH, LC, Mullholland, Santa Monica, etc all fit the same for me size wise. I think the 27 would fit you best but I am sure you can sell them. Medium clean is a tighter wash.

Okay well you *might* be okay with the 28. Medium clean is the smallest wash, plus, like you, I am inbetween sizes and go with my bigger one and it is still tight! I even have a size above that and they fit fine. I can do a roth in a 24, my stevies are a 25, almost all my sfam and coh are 25's, I can do stretch joeys in a 25, but I need a 26 for paige. helpful? maybe? I say just buy them and see...

Not sure if this helps but I wear a size 25 in COH and TR and 25 in Paige HH, but for some reason I wear a 26 in Paige LC's.

I'm a 23 in my MNE sigs, and a 24 in LC's. i hope that helps!
