New Paige sizing?

I started wearing Paiges maybe 5 years ago. I weigh exactly the same now as I did then. Back then SOMETIMES I fit into a 24 and sometimes I wore a 25. It just depended on the wash. I wore Laurel Canyons exclusively back then.

I have since moved on to the Lou Lous, which I *adore*. Almost every time they come out with a new color my heart beats a little bit faster!

The thing is, it seems like Paige has 'vanity sized' their jeans lately and I'm looking for input to see if this is pretty universal across the board or if it has just been the pairs I have tried.

I bought the Rhapsody in a size 24 a month or so ago. They were too big from the get go --- not stretched out, just immediately when I put them on.

Now there are two new washes that I LOVE and I see that they're available in a size 23. I can't try them on in person; my husband is stationed overseas so all I can do is order online. So I guess my question is ... has Paige sizing changed so much that I now need a *23*? Or is it still totally dependent on wash and there's no way to tell without trying the 23 and 24?

I would love some help if anyone knows!

in general, it tends to run larger. however, i find that it's also dependent on wash. some washes still run smaller than others. i've also noticed a lot of sizing inconsistencies in several pairs i've owned. i went through 3 pairs of lou lous in the same size and wash, and all three fit differently.

eta: i wanted to mention that i've noticed quality of the denim isn't the same either. in my experience, it tends to pill a lot quicker now.

I've noticed a difference in denim quality as well; my Sardinias look like the knees are JUST about to punch through and I got pregnant about 5 seconds after I got them so I've actually worn them very little even though I have had them for awhile. I even contacted Paige about this, explaining that I bought them like 2 weeks before I got pregnant and then wore them for a few months after birth and they looked like they were already about to bite the dust. They basically said, too bad, you ordered them a long time ago, nothing we can do.

But I've found Paige customer service in general to be pretty terrible, actually. Whenever I call with questions about stuff they never seem to know or put any effort into finding out. But man I want that new Wilder wash and Fir Green wash!!!
