Grrrrr

So I won the auction on a pair of jeggings on ebay...and was soooo excited b/c it was a great deal....won them for $23.12! I even bought a fun pair of Fryes to go with them. Then, I get this message "Sorry for the inconvience, but I'm not interested in selling my jeans for the $23.12 amount. Please retract your payment when you have a moment." I write back saying this is not how ebay auctions work, and you can set a reserve price blah blah blah. The seller writes back how she just "doesn't feel like selling Paiges for $20". The seller has 100% feedback as well.....needless to say, I don't think I'm getting my jeans, haven't been refunded yet, and my deal "high" is ruined....I haven't had to ever leave anyone neg. feedback before so I'm a little nervous about it....should I? I'm really annoyed.....sorry for my venting here...I was just so excited about getting this deal

That is horribly annoying.. I think you could file a non-performing seller report for something like that? And I'd leave negative FB. If they didn't want to sell for $23 then they should have set a reserve or a higher starting price.

Yes, so true. How do I access that report in Ebay? What menu or area do I click in? I have never had to file any reports before.... thanks for your help

I haven't either, so I'm not totally sure how it works.. You get to the form by going to Customer Support > Resolution Center at the top right of the main eBay page. Good luck, hopefully they can do something for you, and at the very least your feedback will help warn potential buyers.

Yeah that would be a concern.. Might be worth asking if eBay will remove retaliatory feedback. I know sellers can respond to negative feedback - not sure if that's the same for buyers. FWIW I've bought from sellers with mostly positive feedback when the only negatives were obviously idiots or retaliation.

Leave negative fb. Sellers cannot leave negatives

Ah good to know. That makes sense as it'd encourage buyers to be honest about bad transactions. I've been an eBay member for years but have only sold a couple things, and that was ages ago.

Tell the seller to refund you immediately. If they don't, file a dispute, then escalate to a claim immediately.

Report them here: http://contact.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI...s+and+Policies

Leave negative feedback. And like BabyJ said, sellers can't leave negatives for buyers. It's been like this for over three years now.

It doesn't make sense, since buyers can only receive positives now, even if they are a pain in the ass to sell to. Other sellers have no way of knowing this. So buyer feedback is meaningless.
It's only useful in cases like this.

The seller FINALLY refunded and then made a big deal about how she gave me a full refund and not a partial?? What?? Obviously I left bad feedback for her. Annoying!!

Why would she give you a partial?? You paid in full for an auction you won- why would she get to keep anything out of this other than the jeans she's refusing to sell to you? I'd be so annoyed.
