Its actually not my bag, a forum member bought it, and she will put up more pics tonight.

Yeah, it got only 1 reply on purseforum, whereas 3 people here (on this thread or PM) have said it is fake in their opinions. Please post these PROMINENTLY on the purse forum, not buried within a huge thread where it will get lost and not commented on, or i will do it for you

On TPF, ALL questions about authentications go in specific "Authenticate This..." threads and if they're anywhere else on the forum, they get moved (and the mods get really annoyed LOL)

So even if you put it somewhere more prominent, it would end up getting moved and buried.

I know nothing about Prada, but it seems that "Rosemary" is the designated "expert" on that brand's authenticity thread. Like here, when a mod says something is "real" most people don't weigh in any further.

Why not just take it to a Prada store? Reese, you're in Toronto. There is one right on Bloor street. When I was still living in Toronto, I had nothing but good service there.

The tag is so aweful!

I'm almost willing to be it's a fake. The triangle looks ok but the inside tag is all wrong. It should either be embossed directly on the leather (i.e. small leather goods) or on a metal plaque in the same color as the lining. And as Asiandiva pointed out, horrible craftmanship

Besides MP, you can always go to Ebay's Shoes, Purses and Fashion Accessories Forum. One of the boardie, peskipiksipesternomi, can probably help you. She's helped me few times.
Another option: Purse Watch (Ebay ID= quirky-princess) also does authentication.

That inside tag is ALL wrong. Thats not what its supposed to look like even if its an old bag.

^ Thanks girls for helping me out on this! I am pretty convinced it's fake too (otherwise I would've never brought attention to this bag) I just need confirmination, then I assure the seller and get my money back.

Asiandiva: I'm in the suburbs and I don't go downtown often since I'm really busy with schoolwork. I'm going to Yorkdale Saturday so I would be able to stop by at holts?

I doubt Holt's will authenticate for you; besides mostly SA's at Holt's know squat. I could almost guarantee you could take a good fake Balenciaga motorcycle bag and they wouldn't know the difference.

I don't think you need to bother anyways. Today another friend of mine agreed with me it's fake. The more I look at the pics, the more it's fake. The craftsmanship is horrible. Even if Prada was to make a freebie bag to give out with their perfume, it would be made 10x better.

Have you ever asked the seller where she got it from?
