Can I PM someone to authenticate a VERNIS piece for me?

Are they that commonly faked? Ive seen a few in asia, but if i only look at pics it kinda scares me. I dont know where to look.

Are there fake discountinued Vernis pieces which say 'made in Spain'?

A lot of small vernis items are made in Spain. The date code should start with BR.

Most vernis pieces are made in Spain but don't always have datecode starting with BR though.

The easiest way to authenticate vernis is the vernis! The patent monogram is usually too deep on most fakes. Also the lining is an usual way to tell. Another thing is most fakers can't get the length of the straps right.

Congratulations! Thompson Street is a beautiful bag. For vernis pieces, you do need to be a bit more careful as they are more delicate. Make sure you don't leave the bag under heat and try to avoid contact with darker clothing (espcially dark denim) to avoid colour transfer. Great choice!
