the article said that some of the fake bags are made after hours in the same factories that produce the auth. bags- so does that mean some of the fake LV is made in the same factory as the auth. bags and if so how can you tell a difference in the workmanship/materials. that is just crazy...

the article is underestimating super AAA copies.the ones where they use real leather and stuff. those are the scariest ones to accidently buy cuz if ure not an expert u cant really tell.

that is why i am so paranoid to buy a LV on ebay even if everything checks out. i would like to save some $ off retail b/c thats just how i am but i would hate to end up with a AAA fake just to save a bit of money.

honestly I think the line about things being made after-hours in factories is bull. Maybe for some companies, but for LV I can pretty much assure you that doesn't happen.

but like you, I don't ever plan to buy an LV bag off ebay (once I can actually afford one...sigh) unless it is from someone I really trust, like a well-known tPF'r or something.

Actually I saw a few incredibly good fakes of LV...impeccable workmanship and material....would not surprise me if they were either made by the same workers or in the same place...they were still fake, but they were really a great quality bag.

I had a friend that claimed he had bought one of those "after hours" LV bag for his wife because he had connection...etc. When I saw the bag, I was like..."ah.... nice looking bag but LV doesn't even make this style". It was a black vernis spring street!!!

I don't see how. LV is verrry strict...for god's sake they burn there extra stock. how could somebody make fake bags 'afterhours' in the exact same factory where real LV is made?

Doesn't add up.

I think that the fakers are just getting better, and making really good fakes.

i heard that the real grade AAAAAAA LVs are actually made by people who use to work in the LV factory. Probably rumors but there were a few european craftsmen who wanted to be paid more, and left LV to start their own counterfeit business.
