I have a vintage wallet that may or may not be authentic LV. I know nothing about authenticating, so I'll put pics on here and see what more knowledgeable people think. I'm leaning towards a fairly good-quality fake, myself, but as I paid $5 for it I wouldn't be too put-out either way. It's definitely leather, and I think older, maybe 70's/80's? The stitching, including inside, and zip seem good quality. It's clearly had use, and shows some wear along the edges as shown, but I'm not sure of age.
That's what I thought -the placement of the 'louis vuitton' in the squares don't look like they are in the same place as in the genuine, but on the other hand, it clearly wasn't a 'dollar store' fake because it is real leather, and the stitching is too good quality for the lower-quality fakes I see in every dollar store type place(a common chain here is called coin save). so I wasn't entirely sure. I picked it up at a street market selling all sorts of 2nd hand/'vintage' stuff, I was mainly interested in the strong metal zip...I'm really hard on zips and always break them, the zip on this looks practically indestructible.
