I went into a store today and saw they were selling Lv Inventeur belts. I asked the guy behind the counter the price and he said $140 :O. Now IDK if they're real or not or if they're used or not but IDK if I should buy or not. The price automatically screams fake but the store sells alot of urban stuff and they mostly sell expensive stuff and have a good track record. Tomorrow I'm going to go back into the store to take a good lock at the belt( I didn't get a chance to today, all I did was ask for the price and then left). Can you guys tell me some quick/obvious things to look for to make sure it isn't a fake?

The price is a dead giveaway that its screaming fake.

Inventeur belts retail for around $600. Who in their right mind would sell it for $140?

$140 can get you a fake belt from China, and I'm positive that store sells fakes aswell.

Just because a store has a "good track record" for selling authentic items, it doesn't stop them from selling fakes. There have been cases where stores in Vancouver have indeed sold fake Rock & Republic jeans.

What kind of store is this? A consignment store, a thrift store, a retail boutique? I've purchased designer items at consignment shops for steal prices before and later resold them for more after wearing it for some time...

If they have more than one, then I'd say it's fake. If they have only one and are a consignment shop, it's still up for discussion whether it's real or not.

Keep in mind inventeur belts are faked REALLY well. So it's going to be hard to tell. If you want the inventeur belt, it's better to purchase it at retail to be safe.
