Need some advice, I sold an authentic pochette on ebay...I bought this item from eluxury.com 7 years ago so I'm 100% sure of it's authenticity...anyway I just got an email from the buyer saying that they took it to a LV store and they said it's fake...b/c the strap is on the wrong side...please look at my attached pic of the purse, the strap is completely removeable (anyone who is familiar with the line knows this) therefore when I took it off and used it, I must have attached it on the other side, there are 2 rings, one on either side...I'm thinking that this buyer had an inexperienced LV rep...need input and advice?
Thanks for replying, after she won the auction, she said she knew it was a good deal b/c her sister works for LV (this girl is in vegas) so I don't know if she really went to the LV store or if her "inexperienced sister" just looked at it and said it was fake. Attached is the best pic I had of the D ring, the others were really blurry.
I would wait on asiandiva to verify that this epi is authentic.
I've had LV boutiques authenticate for me before, unless they've since changed their policy, I believe they do auth checks. I'd ask for a manager to do it.
I don't like the older style of epi pochettes. The strap is hooked on to the zip pull instead of a seperate hook. You can pull the zip open while carrying it. If you use it as a makeup pouch or toiletry bag, then it's fine but not as a clutch.
