I have a jacket that a snap button fell off. They don't have any customer service so i'm stuck with it as is. That's the only item I own but I THINK they are supposed to be comparable to Diesel quality.

It's definitely my favourite brand for all kinds of tops. Whether it'd be shirts, sweaters, hoodies, jackets. G-Star for me, was always the way to go. It IS a bit pricey I must admit, but I'm willing to spend a bit more for good style and fit. I've never ran into any problems with G-Star. Best fit clothing out there!

I heart Gstar. Its probably my favorite brand, especially for tops like he said. Their jackets are to DIE for. I do like the jeans too, but they have some crazy stuff and don't fit me as well since I am not super skinny everywhere. I really like the button downs for dudes. The tshirts and basics can get a little crazy because they love to screenprint their logo everywhere on that stuff.

Size small anything fits perfectly on me. I'd totally try it out, the look is kind of like Diesel, edgy urban. As for the quality, everything I've bought from them has held up very well. They are an up and coming brand in the States though so thats probably why they don't have any CS stateside; Nordstroms has just begun to carry their stuff late last year.

If you live near a retail store I'd definitely tell you to try things on. Maybe order from Revolve, they carry Gstar. We have two in SF, but this season's stuff is just eh.

wait they carry it at Nordstroms? shit i could just go there...ive only ever looked for it online..but i take it that if its at nordstroms then its probably at neimans and saks too? i should go just to see how their stuff fits me then see if i can find a good deal somewhere...but if it fits me well i dont mind paying the price

I agree Emily. Their jackets are fantastic. I want 3 right now. Their stuff is so expensive though. I like how their stuff isn't everywhere either, like all the other brands.

I just bought a new tee & the quality is excellent. And their denim is great too.

Yeah, some Nordies will have them but most B&M Nordies will have basic stuff that is boring. Here's the online link

G-Star Raw | Nordstrom.com

Revolve has some stuff right now but its kind of boring
G-Star - Fall/Holiday 2010 Collection - Free Shipping!

Actually this season's stuff was kind of disappointment to me, especially the women's stuff. Me and bf went in intending to splurge on a piece or two last week but we left with nothing. And Erica is right. It is SUPER expensive. I only own two pairs of jeans, a shirt, a vest and a jacket. The only thing I bought retail was the jacket but I was in LOVE with it. They had a leather jacket 2 years ago that fit me perfectly (even the sales associates were like omg you have to get it ) but it was $900....

ETA: I guess I am lucky and most ppl here know what it is. I know several boutiques that have really good Gstar and Diesel pieces and they put them on sale a lot more than the store does...still expensive but the store has sales maybe once or twice a year...maybe.

Also, there is Gstar and Gstar Correct. Correct is their "business" line, so blazers, buttonups, dressier fabrics. They also have a Marc Newson line which I think is just basics? I don't remember.

I think this jacket would be cute, its a bit more preppy. It doesn't look that good on the model but I like the blue hardware

Yeah, I got my G Star jacket at Bloomingdales.

I also have a G Start outlet near me. The prices are really good but the stuff they have sometimes is pretty vomit worthy.

Yeah, they are really good about getting your stuff over the border but I am not sure what the return policy is.

ETA: Yeah sounds like a bitch. You have to get it back within 21 days so Express is the best bet....which is expensive. Thats actually the reason why I haven't bought anything from them yet. They have good sales but I'm not sure stuff there will fit me and I don't want to deal with expensive returns. They had a pair of Gstar Kabuki sneaks that were to die for...and really cheap, but they were a final sale item.

As with any brand really. Diesel has some pretty bad stuff

Lucky you have an outlet by you! If you ever see any Midge skinny, straights, or bootcuts let me know. It's the only style I've found that actually works ok for me.

Terrence, there's a G-Star store in Washington, if you ever want to make the trek there. It's in Dupont Circle, on Connecticut Ave.

G-star is expensive in the USA? Its pretty cheap here in the UK... it used to be quite popular but now its seen as really chavvy.
Maybe if you know anyone in the UK you could get them to buy it for you and ship it over, it might work out cheaper then paying the USA price.
Just a thought...

ASOS.com has a good selection of G-star and has low international shipping rates: http://www.asos.com/search/pgeSearch.aspx?q=g-star

I used to wear it a lot, a lot of University and high school kids are going through the, "G-Star phase"

I personally think it's pretty good quality, it's more on the fitted side for how to look with it, you never really see people wearing baggy G-Star clothing.

I personally don't think the prices are worth it, but it may be justified a bit for the brand name, style, and quality.
