I feel so fat lately I can't stand it

Arrgh. I don't know what is wrong with me. Lately--I would say for the past three months I am feeling like I am gaining weight. According to the scale I can't be more than 2 lbs heavier than last year--if that--but I feel HUGE. It almost feels like fat is redistributing around my waist and making "love handles" or whatever. Is that even possible? I used to be able to fit 26 in everything sometimes 25 and now am closer to 27 in some styles. I feel so ugly and can't stop trying to hide my belly/side belly from everyone. I feel like my bf is finding me less attractive because I am getting so bulgy--but that's probably all in my head.

Ugh.

We all go through that.
Cut out fatty foods, exercise some and drink water.
I actually feel like that now

I'm sorry you feel that way, I too feel the same, but I've gained like 7lbs. It's showing everywhere. Face, arms, belly, muffin tops you name it. Right now I'm just trying to drink lots of water, stay away from junk, and getting back to jogging again. Don't worry, it was just the holiday pounds, it'll go away!

At the risk of having people jump down my throat for saying this, I totally know what you're going through! I know I'm a size 23 and I'm tiny, but proportionally, I've been getting bulgy around the tummy lol. And I know exactly why, I've been eating out a LOT (especially fatty foods), taking a lot of naps, and barely exercising. I've been outgrowing some of my jeans lol Anyway, my point is, we all go through these periods of feeling bloated or pudgy, but I can assure you it is all in your (our) head. Your boyfriend probably doesn't even notice a difference! I've been feeling bulgy too lately, but it's probably because I'm so unhealthy on the inside that it's making me more sensitive and critical towards myself. Try what Trang said (I guess I should take my own advice )

heh, i agree with you completely

my friends at school always roll their eyes at me when i say i feel fat or bloated because i'm naturally thinner than they are. its funny because i'm almost not allowed to feel fat when i'm so "skinny."

i've been trying to eat healthy, go on the elliptical every other day...but i've definitely gained weight since the beginning of the year! good thing the gym is so close to my apartment or i'd have so many more excuses for not working out!

I'm sorry your feeling bad, I feel the same way I'm a 25 but all my excess fat is around my middle still lingering since I had Z almost 2 years ago. Even though most people think oh your so tiny, they don't see my love handles.

I think you should definitely think about your diet and getting some exercise

I can relate with all of this. I think we all tend to look at ourselves too critically though. Raising your activity level and drinking lots of water might help!!

I am the worst for thinking this way!!

I wear a size 25-26 and I always feel fat. I used to be a super skinny kid who could eat anything and now I have to watch what i eat. I try to go to the gym 6 days a week, i run and i am going to be going to a krav maga class tonite...but i still feel fat.

It gets to the point that i think it is hard for me to find a date cuz i am not perfect...

While it's true that you're probably more sensitive to any weight gain than anyone else is, and you probably still look really thin to everyone else...it is possible for weight to redistribute itself sometimes and make you feel like you've gained weight somewhere. It's definitely happened to me, though that was probably more hormonal (I looked a lot better at 155lbs at age 21 than I did at 155lbs at age 13 and didn't have nearly as chubby of a face...then again, didn't we all look like crap in middle school )

have you tried spot training the areas you'd like to trim down? That's probably all you need, since it doesn't seem like you're anything close to overweight

Really, don't beat yourself up about it. We all have those "I feel fat" days. And yeah, sometimes those feelings/thoughts will outweigh the "I look great, fit as a fiddle days." A lot of it just has to do w/the types of foods we eat...salty foods contributing to bloat, etc. Also, we can't forget those friggin periods we females face every month. Damn, I hate those things! Cramps, grumpiness, and TIGHT jean days.

We're our own worst critics, and heck, our bodies will be predetermined (to a certain extent) by our genetics. Just know you're not alone! I encourage you to let out some steam working out and get those good endorphins flowing.

ugh, I feel your pain... you have just summed up how I am feeling right now. however, I feel like it is my thighs and butt that are getting fat and jiggly.
I am hoping that with spring on its way I will be able to get outside more, ya know play/walk the dog, yard work, general stuff.

I am actually going to the caymans next week and instead of being excited, I am really anxious about wearing a swim suit -- YUK!

totally can relate... everyone goes through it. i know i personally have body image issues... take care of you and everything else will be ok
