Anyone use Nasonex or another nasal spray for sinuses?

I think I have figured out that it causes chest pain for me. I thought when I previously had chest pain that is was from anxiety, but I haven't had it since moving to TX (left the Nasonex back home by accident). I recently refilled my Nasonex prescription and now the chest pain is back.

I wonder if my Dr. can prescribe a different one that will still work but won't have that side effect. My sinuses have been crazy for the past few weeks and usually the Nasonex helps me to get fewer sinus infections.

I didnt have that problem, but there are several others out there that should help. I remember I had one.. that I dont remember the name of, but it had rose hip in it.. I hated it because I hate the smell of roses Do you have a doctor here yet?

What kind of chest pain? I've been using Rhinocort for over 5 years for my allergies. Every once in a great while I feel a small flutter in my chest I thought it was anxiety too. I know there are many different kinds of nasal spray, so I would suggest trying a different kind. My doctor claims it's totally safe, but everyone's body is different!

It's like a 'heavy' pain in the middle of my chest. It makes me feel like I am really stressed out or something.

I'm just grateful that I figured out what was causing it. I thought I was really messed up...haha!

I'm glad I was able to make the connection. I will stop using the medicine and talk to my Dr. about getting a different kind. I think I have used Nasocort before with no problems.

flonase has phenethyl alcohol which is a rose-type smell. i've been on flonase forever now, but the odor still bugs me. other than finding the odor less than pleasant though, i've had no adverse effects

^I'm on fluticasone propionate, which is generic Flonase. I don't think it has a smell after the initial spray (and I don't think it smells like roses anyway), and it works really well for my allergies in that it keeps me from being itchy, and there are no side effects for me. I hope you find something that works for you!

I use HydraSense all the time... all it is, is a sea salt type spray with nothing harsh at all in it. I have an issue with my nose clogging up in the middle of the night and this saves me. My doc told me to use it when i was younger because i alwayyyys had sinus infections and a lot of nose sprays cause damage if used too much. This stuff clears your nose almost immediately... if you are sick though obviously still take antibiotics and stuff. You can buy it at any drug type store.
