Weird chest pain...heartburn?

What does heartburn feel like? I don't think I've ever had it, so I'm not sure how it feels.

Yesterday and today I've been having this weird pain in the middle of my chest. If feels slightly hard to breathe. I have not eaten anything different than what I normally eat.

Part of me thinks it is from anxiety b/c I have been really stressed out about TTC lately. I took 2 tums last night and it went away, but it is back today.

It doesn't feel serious enough to go to the Dr. about, but it is annoying and it worries me.

heartburn feels like a burning rising up your esophagus. stress can cause this. so can overeating and many other types of poor dietary habits/choices. if it the regular anti acids arent working for you, you may want to get something like zantac. if you find this becomes a chronic thing, you should see your doctor.

sometimes people mistake myocardial infarction (heart attack) for simple heartburn. this is not the case for you since it's been going on since yesterday.

Hmmm...it doesn't feel like burning at all. And it doesn't feel like acid reflux either.

It feels almost like extra weight on my lungs or something. It's really hard to describe.

I don't think so. I *think* I'm out of the game for this month due to my temp drop this morning.

oh I'm sorry. I never kept track of that stuff, maybe that is why I have a few surprise pregnancies.

Haha! Yeah, I'd prefer not to track it. But, if it gets to the point where we have to see a specialist I have heard they will need about 6 months of data. The tracking is what gets me all anxious.

it could be heartburn, anxiety, an infection, or asthma do you notice anything that causes it? what times of day does it happen and how long does it last? what makes it better or worse? is it worse when you lie down? any other symptoms?

according to a lot of research, most temperature monitoring devices are not particularly accurate (depending on how you're doing it - tympanic, oral, etc.) and are not a very good way of determining much of anything except a pretty high fever

It comes and goes but I notice it more if I start getting agitated about something, which is why I thought it may be from stress/anxiety. It has gotten a little better today. My friend who is a Dr. told me to try to do some deep breathing and that it's probably nothing to worry about.

I use a basal thermometer, but it's just to track my ovulation.

Kelly it sounds like anxiety

If the anxiety is really bad (if you have uncontrollable chest pain for a few weeks or other symptoms) then go to the doctor. There's lots of ways to treat it...medicine, counseling, etc and it's usually effective if you start early

regardless of what you're measuring those thermometers are not that accurate so don't think or worry too much about what is says. there is also a lot of "operator error" every time i bring a patient back from the operating room to the recovery room we take their temperature with one of those pieces of crap. We do it a million times until we get a number we like because it reads something different every time. And we always eventually get a number we like Can you tell I'm trying to make you feel better?

Thanks, I appreciate the input!

The temp tracking is what is causing the anxiety, so I think I'll take a break from it for now. TTC is hard enough without tracking every detail about your body every single day. I seem to get my hopes up pretty easily and pretty much anything can be a pregnancy symptom. I think I just need to RELAX.

I leave next week for 10 days in Florida, so hopefully that will help me relax! I've never felt anxiety like this that actually caused me physical pain. That tells me it's time to stop worrying!!!

hope you feel better honey it's definitely not worth the anxiety...since anxiety will make it harder for you to get pregnant! have a nice relaxing vacation
