Need Some Help Please

So last night I went to bed after washing my face using my regular routine and in the middle of the night I woke up to my eye really itching like HELL. I went into the bathroom and it was mildly swollen/puffy. The itchiness happens occasionally if I get my toner or foam cleaner anywhere near my eyes, so I did what I usually do, took one benadryl and applied some Vaseline. But this morning I woke up and my left eye is almost swollen shut and the right is very mildly swollen.

I took another 2 Benadryl, applied some more Vaseline and used a cold compress all to no avail. I still look like the Hunchback Of Notre Dam...

Has this happened to anyone else, and what did you do?????

BTW, the only symptoms are the puffy eye and itchiness, no redness, discharge, or any other issues...just those two. The itchiness is also almost a burn.

I so appreciate the help, because I am FREAKING out!

No redness, eh?

Could be conjunctivitis...pinkeye...that usually comes with at least a little extra redness though. Dunno much else, if it persists you might wanna see the doc about it.

I get all my info from wikipedia:

There's redness on the skin but no redness in my eye. It definitely doesn't look like pink eye. I would take a pic, but uh-uh no way...it's TERRIBLE!

Any chance you're using a different product that may have caused a more severe reaction? I don't really have any advice, other than go see your dr if it's not better tomorrow

Thanks April & Mesalomanic for your responses! April, I didn't try anything new...but this morning it is a little less swollen, actually most of it has gone away. There's just a bit of puffiness. I think I probably just had an allergic reaction. We shampooed our carpets this weekend, so who the hell knows what THAT stirred up!

I'm just glad it's getting better!

Again, I really appreciate your responses.
