..Has anyone had a breast lift? Not breast implants..

I did a search but did not see much info or personal stories.. Would love some info! I have debated getting it done when we can finally afford it as after spending 12 years with disordered eating i have absolutely no fat in my boobs and with weight gain they do not grow the way they used to and knowing that the damage is, for the most part, permanant at only 24 is scary as hell. I look in the mirror and i dont mind the size (32A/B) but i see a deformation that i know was caused through my disorder. I do not feel like a woman..I brought a bra the other day and noticed it was for 'girls' not 'women' hehe.. I used to be a 36DD!! I have talked about this for many years and have decided to do it when i was in the right place mentally to know if it is truly for the right reasons (which im at about 90% now). I do not expect a miracle, and am sure i will still be unhappy with the result. I just want to feel a little better so that i can be more comfortable nakie and not so obsessed with the horrible damage i have done as seeing it everyday is really distressing and highly triggering (Think if i lose more weight they will just dissapear-which id actually prefer!-if that gives any insight into how much insecurity they cause me).. Again, this is just something im keeping in mind and until we can afford it, it is something i want to educate myself on before.. Deffinately not rushing into it and for all i know, it may be something i look back at and laugh about having contemplated. Either way, i'd love to know anyones story.. Thankyou! -xoxox-

I say wait a little and if you still want to do it then go for it.

I've had consults with four plastic surgeons and am looking forward to the day when I can finally get rid of the damage excess weight and multiple pregnancies has caused. Consultations are free, so ask around, find out who the best surgeons are in your area, and go talk to ALL of them. Most women who have lost volume in their breasts end up wanting/needing implants along with the lift, to help replace the volume and make the results last. A lot of plastic surgeons want to do this in two steps, I'm going to have it done in one.

I completely understand how you feel!

Not all surgeons are created equal, so make sure you do your research! You want to hear people describe them as meticulous and a perfectionist. The best plastic surgeons are the ones that piss off their scrubs because they will completely undo the sutures and start over if they don't think it's perfect.

Anytime I have seen breast lifts done on tv, implants are used to help make them perkier again.

^^^Agree. It sort of procedure and it might be a waste if your boobs are higher but falter or not full.

Yes, unfortunately once the ligaments that support the breast have been pulled out of shape, there is nothing to do to replace that support. An implant placed behind the muscle in sort of a pocket (they release the muscle some so it sits in place) gives the breast back that support. I breast fed all three of my own children, and pumped breast milk for 3-4 months for all my surrogate babies, my poor boobies have really been through the ringer.

I'm going for the new gel silicon implants too, I'll do the MRI every 3 years for a more natural feeling and looking breast with less risk of encapsulation and rippling.
