The aging blonde then proceeded to try convincing the audience that she was an AmFAR founder.
"She took credit for starting the AmFAR Pediatric AIDS Society, which was actually started by Elizabeth Glaser," said a source. (Although Stone did not found the society, she did recently launch her own pediatric AIDS division of AmFAR and raised more than $2 million for it at the gala.)
Later, Stone hopped on Sean Combs' lap in attempt to "coax him into bidding on a Julian Schnabel portrait," reports our source. But when the mogul stopped bidding at 300,000 euros, Stone joked, "Come on, you spend more on crack." Said our source, "I thought people were going to pass out."
Calls and e-mails to Stone's rep, Cindi Berger, were not returned.
