I loved that we saw the sun yesterday. This rain day after day is VERY depressing
I am wondering where the girls uniforms are. I bought them both racks to put their uniforms, pajamas for the night and a change of clothes for after school.. But, toys end up on the racks and the uniforms on the floor.
I am wondering when Mia will wake up too. SHe's been sick, but yesterday she had a good day and finally ate...so I think she might be OK to go back to school today...
And....how much I don't want hubs to leave on Friday |

we will keep you company | Thank You! You guys helped me through the last deployment. He's not deploying now just gone a month but a month seems like a long time to me being in a foreign country with the girls alone
Japanese school system...they start school April 8th and go until March 30. They do have from July 20-August 30 off though..so a little bit of a summer break. |

We thought at their age they'd get the full benefits, learn the Japanese culture and pick up on the language. So far, Vera has lots of friends and they figured out some way to communicate and Mia is learning the language pretty quick. If I have questions I write in their book and by the afternoon someone has translated it and given me an answer. They do a really good job at translating all the paperwork..
Anyway, no other big breaks. Pretty much school is year round. I think as they get older they even go to school on Saturdays. I see lots of kids in their uniforms on the weekends.
Oh yeah, and even at the young age of 3 they take a school bus. I don't let the girls do that though, they are still too little for that in my mind.
Completely different here. It takes some getting used to, the freedom that kids have at such a young age (going to the playground alone at 3..walking to school, etc.) |

| | Hey Alex, I bet we had the same kind of day here that you had. It rained & stormed all day long, but has been very humid.
I know you're sad about B leaving, but you have us (and you can always call me now that you have your phone)
Glad to hear that Mia is feeling better.
Oh yeah, and NO cooking dinner tonight! It's sushi! | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
