Yep, those are some gruesome photos, especially the close-up. I still find it extremely sad....kids are so clueless sometimes, think they are invincible....

The only thing this guy probably accomplished was creating a record breaking amount of Google searches on Nikki Catsouras. Especially, after last nights news special.
I watched it too - I highly doubt the owner of that website will actually take the pics down if the family contacted him. (that's actually the website I found them on.) Like Liz, I did go searching for the pictures after I heard about the story, so I'm not sure what really putting it on national tv accomplished in regards to it.

BTW, I won't lie - I was laughing my ass of at the guys screaming out of the car, b/c the dude did need to put clothes on.

Fertik is doing his job. He's conning innocent grieving people into giving him a LOT of money to initiate pointless litigation and send form letters. He's not dumb. He knows nothing can be erased from the Internet forever. His job is to steal innocent people's money.

Michael Fertik, if you read this, XOXO forever.

I was curious, and as another poster said, I didn't think they could be THAT bad. But I just found them. I only opened one, and it was like a punch in the stomache. It will always be a freeze-frame stuck in my brain- even though I could hardly make out what I saw. OMG! I so wish I hadn't done that. I think it really IS that bad, and I only opened one briefly. I can't imagine being the family in this case. I would honestly not want to go on living. Imagine, at the grocery store, that picture is in your mind. At the dentist, that picture is in your mind. As you drive to work.... etc. I would not be able to go on. But I guess that's the cowards way out.

They are MUCH worse than a Saw or Hostel movie--only because they are REAL and not mannequins or whatever.

I am still in shock. Stuff like this really doesn't gross me out, but these photos took my breath away.

I have seen worse, but I think what makes these so bad, is that her "before" picture is ALL OVER THE PLACE.

I am with you on the creep that is behind all of this. Bastard is scum.

I've seen the pics Liz - what I was wondering is how is it less worse than a movie? this was an actual person that you can put a name and face to, you know? Those pics will haunt me when I drive, because I can honestly say I will slow down more b/c of those pics.

ITA these are way worse than any movie because they are indeed real.

I wish I hadn't looked at them. I was driving tonight and that image popped into my head. It's something that you just can't forget seeing.

I am so glad I wasn't the only one laughing. I went on YouTube and found some of their videos. One time they drove by this kid playing and screamed "There's no such thing as Santa Claus". I know it's mean, but it was pretty funny.

I think it is WAY WORSE than a movie! Its a real person! Someone's child, sister, granddaughter! So sad!

Yeah, ITA. I've never seen SAW or anything of the torture-porn variety because it's sick enough as is, but even my morbid curiosity isn't strong enough to make me want to see these photos.

Curiosity got the best of me. I have seen worse, but it is definitely not for the faint of heart. I believe seeing the pictures of her as a beautiful girl made the pictures more gruesome for me.

I think you are exactly right. It was seeing her before the accident photos that made them so bad. The ones I saw were in a thread with other gruesome photos and I didn't have nearly the same reaction to the other "random" people in that thread.

^^I saw the accident photos before I saw what she looked like and it was still bad. I saw them like 6 or 8 months ago and I still remember them. I used to look at pics on bangedup.com and rotten.com and I can only remember a few of those.

I grew up in OC prior to that particular toll road ever existing, but I did some pretty stupid things in my growing-up years.

I looked at the photos and initially I saw them from a more clinical, detached point of view but as I recalled my years in OC and realized that there were several instances in my past that were similar enough, that gruesome photo has begun to haunt me somewhat, waking me up in the middle of the night.

I know it was very stupid to do what she did, but truly, it could have been any of us who thought we were invincible at that age and wanted to just "show" our parents. I am only glad, seeing those photos, that I somehow came through unscathed. I now know that someone/thing/whatever-you-believe was watching over me as I grew up and tested my limits, and I am very, very grateful.

I think most kids believe they are invincible. I know I did until I joined the military at 18. It was a very quick wake up call. I think back now on some of the shit I did in my early teen years and don't want to have children because of it. I would be such a worry wart.
