More Frye Boot Questions

I have never owned a pair of Frye boots but I really want a pair of the harness/motorcycle looking ones. I found a few pairs on eBay that I like. My question is, Are there such things as fake Frye boots? And if so, How do I tell if they are authentic? Also, do they run tts? Here are the 2 that I am looking at.

style number 775001

There is no info on these, the seller is teamcouture.

TIA

I would be surprised if they've been faked. But hell you never know.

I just got these:

Definitely, size down a half size in Frye if you plan to wear socks often
and a whole size if you plan to wear thin socks or tights.

P.S.-I like the 1st pic! Engineer boots are kick ass!!

OK, I am confused. Some people are saying they run a half size small and some are saying half size big??

edit - I like the first pair the best, are they really a half size big?

OT - Shelley I like your new avi

Just give 'em a whirl...you shouldn't have a problem reselling should they not work out.

^^Oh, crap, I meant BIG! I usually wear a 9.5 and I bought the first pair in my regular size and they are too big. The second pair I got in a 9 and they are perfect. Sorry for the confusion!

I want some of the Engineer style / motorcycle boots but it is too hard to find anything in a size 5 or 5 1/2.

So did you win any of the two pairs posted yet?

^Tiny feet! You should look into the kids sizes. They would be so much cheaper!

I won the second pair for a great price, I can't wait to get them and I sure hope they fit. If they are big I will just wear a couple pair of socks

Frye boots are being counterfeited

I bought a pair of Frye Veronica Slouch boots NWT/NWB from an eBay seller in Florida. BEWARE! Accomplished scam artist at work here!
As soon as I saw them I knew they were fakes. Go to a retailer & take good pictures of real Fryes to compare with any online photos.
The buckles didn't have the word Frye stamped on them.
The soles were not leather, they were laminate.
The front tips of the rubber soles were asymmetrical, not symmetrical.
The stitching on the soles was raised, not smooth.
The sole of the boot where it transitions from rubber to leather was raised, not seamless.
I accused the seller of selling me fakes.
Seller immediately provided all kinds of proof to eBay in the form of invoices, forms of authenticity etc.;
I lost the case and sold the boots for a loss on eBay with full disclosure.

So you knowingly sold fakes and thought it was ok because you stated that they were?
