Fake shampoo on eBay?

Hello ladies and gents, it's KatePacher from HF, I used this different SN just because it's my tag on everything else, and let's face it KatePacher is a boring screen name. ANYway, here is my question:
I just ordered several Bumble and Bumble products from eBay member media-mover and, of course, didn't check the negative feedback until after I already paid. The person has over 11,000 feedbacks, 99.7% positive. However in the negatives there are a couple allegations of fake product. Also, I just called the seller because I was having some payment issues, and she mentioned that they live in Mexico. So, that also seemed a little weird. Considering I just spend over $80 on hair products, I want them to be the real deal. Are two bad feedbacks out of several thousand something to worry about?
here's the link to negative feedback: http://www.toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs...rn=Received+by
What do you think?

Based on their feedback comments I would never do business with them.

Well, they have only 17 out of like several thousand....should I email them and cancel my order and call my CC company and have them refuse the charge?

Idalis what should I dooo? I don't really want to get negative FB, but I also don't wanna lose $80. Are the two negatives just like stupid-lameos who don't know the diff? I feel like they DON'T make fake shampoo products, because seems like the bottles and packaging might be sort of hard to fake.

Fake Shampoo etc... is HUGE!!!! My industry is fighting it, and I report all diversion that I see. If it is not sold in a salon, it is fake, old, stolen, or diverted. We use tracking numbers now, so the person that diverted the items, loses his/her right to purchase, and charges are pressed.
Also we do not guarantee product not sold in a salon.

(sorry to hijack this for a second, Kate...) Tigi- so I know that companies only guarantee their products if they're sold in a salon... so what's with all the Tigi/Redken/Sebastian,etc. that I see in drugstores, Target, and so on? It can't be stolen and be legitimately sold in these reputable stores, can it? So what gives?? Is it old??

Well what can I do, then? Should I call my CC company and say my card was stolen today so they won't take any charges made to it?
Or I guess I could wait for the product to arrive and see if it seems fake and then contact the seller from there. Although it is a product I've never tried so how would I even be able to tell?
I paid with a credit card, over the phone, not w/paypal. Before you yell at me for being totally retarded, it's because I originally paid with an eCheck, which was going to take 4 days to clear. I am moving next Saturday, and wanted to get the products before then, so the woman refunded my paypal payment and took my over the phone payment (which is a form she accepts anyway, and because she has sold thousand of products, I trusted that). I guess that would result in my getting a negative on eBay, which sucks because I only have 9 FBs total. Someone advise!

Yikes. I was thinking of buying Hair products on Ebay. You know I bought a bottle of Rusk w8less @ Target and it smells really funny. Not like it usually does. Is it because it's old?

Also, sorry, another question- where do people who sell the shampoos on eBay get them if they're not a salon? I'm pretty sure that it's impossible for ALL the Bb products on eBay to be fakes...

Here is one subject I have never given much thought too.

Fake shampoo. Makes sense though since you always hear that line cannot be guaranteed if not sold from a salon

Hate to tell you but yes Fake! B&B is veryyyyyyyyyyyy exclusive, and they only pick certain salons to carry their product. It is direct shipped, and not even available at a beauty supply that only stylists are allowed to buy from.

thanks ccmac, i was just getting ready to ask the same question. i see ads for salon products that say their products are counterfeit if not sold in a salon, but then i see them being sold at target/drugstores. why would they allow big chains to get away with doing this if their claims are true?

It's old diverted product. We smelled it, YUCK! It was diverted from a beauty supply by a stylist or supplier out to make a buck. TIGI/Toni&Guy has had them in court, many times. I call it in every time I see it in stores. I'm a watcher for TIGI!
It is not authorized by TIGI to be sold there. As Sebastian, Redken, etc.. do not authorize this.

We don't. and are in court with them everyday. The battle never ends, we win, they remove product, pay fines, then they do it agin. So, back to court.

I guess I'm just a bit confused as to why the seller would have 6,000 positive feedbacks if all the products were fake? It seems like more than 2 people out of that many would have used real Bb before and noticed a difference.
I think what I have to do is wait until the products arrive and decide for myself whether they are real, because I don't think I can just cancel the order. I guess the question then becomes: if the product is not real (which how would I even know? I ordered curl conscious for fine to medium and I've only ever used medium to thick) do I have some sort of recourse through eBay or my CC company (Visa), since I did not use PayPal?
Also, Tigi, how can online sites sell the product if Bb is "so exclusive"?

They count! That is how Walmart gets around it.

It's like any other fake. Look up B&B online, cal them. They will tell you not to buy it. It's not real, or it was purchased from an illegal source.

If Bb is so exclusive, how come websites like drugstore.com can carry the product?

Well, the woman says she has invoices from Bb, so I've emailed her and asked her if she can show them to me or guarantee authenticity. Perhaps since you work at a salon I might be able to forward them to you and you could let me know if they are legit. Otherwise I can file a claim with eBay once I receive the products and if they seem fake, or just eat the $80 and use mediocre shampoo for the next 3 months.

You are killing me. Go to B&B's site. See their policy! They only sell to salons they pick. I can't make you understand. I don't deal with B&B, but all professional salon product companies, have joined hands, in the fight against diversion.
Just because she can give you a copy of the invoice, is meaningless. Fake jeans sellers do this! Wait until Monday, and call B&B.
