ok so I wanted to give you guys the heads up for anyone planning on going to one of these outdoor mini concerts. I got there at 6pm when it said they start letting people in at 7:30pm and there was already a HUGE line, we were about 60 people back. The first girls in line got there at 3:45pm. So you stand around till 7:30pm and they start letting you in. They check everyone's ID and your purse, bag, whatever. You walk through a metal detector and get scanned with the wand too if you set it off. They take away your camera and put it in a ziplock and give you a claim ticket to get it back after the show. You stand around again and have to watch the whole show on a tv monitor till it's over and then the band FINALLY plays. Each band plays at least two songs for the actual show (They show 1 1/2 of them at night). Rascal Flatts played 5 songs and then that was it. We were supposed to be out of there by 9:45pm but we waited around to meet the band and ended up only meeting Joe Don (which was fine by us) and we left at 10:15pm. You park at the Hollywood & Highland structure and get your ticket validated for 4 hours and it costs you $2, then you have to HIKE to get to where the concert is, it's really not that far unless you are wearing heels!! It was blazing out outside and you are cramped in there next to other sweaty, smelly people. We stood around in heels for like 4 hours and my toes got numb, you are standing in asphalt, not comfy! So I recommend NOT dressing up like you're going to a club. Flip flops and capris would be great!!
Have fun at Pharrell koala if you end up going. Get there early to be right up front and prepare to stand around a LONG TIME!! Oh they let you bring camera phones in but no flashes or they will take it away!
