Bad Idea? Advice please!

I got a pair of really worn out jeans on ebay that weren't described as such--they even have a small hole in them. I asked the seller for a partial refund and she told me that I should be happy with them because they are "$180 jeans and I got them for a third of the price" and offered me $10. I emailed her back telling her that was ridiculous but she hasn't responded.\

My question is, is it worth it to file a Paypal claim? I already have used 2 (and we only get three per year, right?) of my Paypal "item not as described" claims-one on a pair of fakes and another pair that came with a hole in it. I don't want to have paid $63 for jeans that I can't wear more than a couple times without them falling apart but I also don't want to use my last Paypal claim because then I'll have to swear off ebay so that no one pulls something like that on me again!

NO WARNINGS! if you're going to attack, do it full force. okay, this is coming from a girl whose boyfriend calls her a "fighter" (sometimes unnecessarily), but there is good reason behind it. if she gets wind that you're going to file, she can clear out her paypal, close up shop, and never go back to use that acct again, and you wouldn't be able to do anything about it. even if you win the dispute, if there's no money, there's no money. so either come to a mutual agreement, or file swiftly and without warning :magwink

I have to say I am with Koala DO NOT WARN THEM:magwink

Now if you feel the money is not worth the losing your last paypal file , then email the crap out of her.....
Are they that bad?? Sounds like it, could they be made into something more desirable?? Like crops or shorts?:jumping :jumping

I would counter that offer, and ask for 20.00 back...IMO

Good luck Sweetie, sorry sellers are so STUPID sometimes:mad:

Then if she calls your bluff, I'd lay down the straight flush on her!
lol... it's not a bluff if you have a straight flush. haha... but nice rhyming line... i like it :jumping

as for the situation... yeah email... keep asking... go for $20 or whatever you think is appropriate... if the seller stops responding... well then you'll have to decide whether to claim or not.

but yea i agree with the later posters, don't tell her you'll file a claim.

apparently a seller can file a non-paying bidder claim... EVEN when paypal clearly shows and has marked off on ebay that payment was made. HOW HANDICAPPED IS THAT???
