What is the best way to ship something fairly heavy (40-50 lbs)?

I just sold my bike trainer on Ebay, and am wondering what the cheapest/best way would be to ship it within the US. It weighs around 40-50 lbs (I'm guessing, it could be a bit less).
I was thinking UPS Ground, but do DHL or Fed Ex offer economical ground shipping as well?

UPS ground is what I use, but you could also check DHL, for price competition

You can investigate Fed Ex freight.

Is UPS much cheaper than USPS then? Don't they have automatic tracking numbers?

I ended up using UPS, it was about $30 to ship something that weighed 30 lbs and had $250 of insurance.
