Just a question/suggestion:

If Kimoy was to buy another type of leash, and then call him to the door like Dana suggested, could that help break the "leash=pee" connection? Or is it more of the attachment of the leash that = pee in his mind?

This is more a general "dog not understanding his humans- humans not understanding their dog" problem. I would change that, and the problem with submissive peeing will vanish. Read up on that website, read "The Other End of the Leash" and/or the "Culture Clash" to get an idea of how dogs think and feel.
Epi feels helpless and has no idea what's going on most of the time. There's an entertaining and eye-opening chapter in "Culture Clash" on this, that alone is worth buying the book.

Jenn you have excellent advice. Honestly that's the feeling I get from him with Abel he is not attached and a little more confused where as with me he exhibits behavior of feeling safe with me he knows I am mom and love him to death is always following me he just wants to be where I am but when I am gone maybe the peeing could be him being angry with Abel b/c he wants mom I am def gna read up more tonight

No, that's just not how a dog's mind works. You (both, not only Abel) will get an understanding of how a dog thinks from reading up and learning. Do it as fast as you can to avoid future breaches of trust and more confusion.
He is exhibiting submissive behavior to you, which should not be necessary, especially not submissive peeing. The sooner you fix the underlying misunderstandings of doggy behavior and psychology, the sooner the symptoms will vanish.
