Still have not lost baby weight

Hey Girls,
Thank goodness for this section. My baby girl Jasmine just made 2 on the 17th. Sometimes I feel depressed because I look so different now. Its like all my weight hits my midsection and Its soo hard to lose. I diet and exercise, but I lose weight from my legs and butt and none from my waist. I used to be a total hotty, but not anymore.
I see plenty of ladies who had babies and they look really nice, even my mom and sister got down to their prepregnancy size after having several kids. Guess I'm not so lucky

You need a more restrictive Diet, and More cardio. If that doesn't whittle you waist, your body type may have changed, and the only thing that could help you to have a slimmer waist would be corseting.

Edit, not wearing a corset, but the practice of tight lacing corsets, and wearing them 23 hours a day for years on end, your wist will get progressively smaller, but you have to have a special corset, and it is best to get one custom made, they run a couple hundred dollars.

yeah, i have the same problem...my butt and theighs arent that big, but all of my weight goes around my midsection and i hate it. part of the problem is that i dont exactly have skinny genes...nobody in my family would be considered petite. i have been doing WW and have been slowly losing weight by exercising and watching what i eat. good luck!

I've lost most of my baby weight except for the stubborn stomach pouchy thing. Bad thing also, I think I lost my butt too Now, for my jeans to look anywhere decent on my ass I have to give...I said give! myself muffin top Don't worry it depresses me too if I look at the lower half of my body naked, but wow I love my son...he's worth it Just keep at it!!!

You're not alone! My 2nd is 21 mo. and I still have a poochy tummy. I used to have a tiny waist and biggish hips and thighs, and now I'm the opposite. I'm not the most disciplined at healthy eating and I don't have time for focused exercising... but I've found that when I'm out pushing my kids in the jogger 2-3 times/week I look much better and my tummy even seems smaller.

Pilates was great to help tone up my midsection muscles (and butt!), but my baby kept getting sick and I don't want to bring him to the gym daycare ... so I don't get out that often.

iv lost 2 1/2 stine in a year

after having my son ( 2nd child) i went from an 8 to a 14 tried diets and didnt loose. Then went on a strict weight watchers diet online, which is great i can weigh in online and effectivly count my pionts..it is the best iv tried and iv tried them all, im steadily loosing 1-2ibs a week on average and am feeling good i have about a stone left and i will be back to my known self. i still have a puggy belly ...i had a ceserian which didnt help my muscle tone but the way to tone the belly is to first work on the core ( yes pelvic floor muscles) then the rest will tone up from there.

I gained very little weight when I was pregnant so those extra pounds were gone two weeks after the delivery. My stomach is still flabby though and a lot of it seems to be loose skin. My PT said that this will disappear as well but it takes a LOT of work. Especially since I didn't have strong abs to begin with. The lower abs have always been my weakest muscles.

I just had my second baby a little less than 3 weeks ago and have been pretty depressed about my appearance (mostly because of my stomach). I was so happy to see this thread! I lost the 50 pounds I gained w/ my first in about 6 months by breastfeeding and doing ALOT of pacing (colic). This time I am older and afraid the "muffin top" is here to stay. I kept purchasing jeans in my reg. size to help motivate me; maybe I should put down the cookie dough and start moving. It's nice to know that we aren't all like the celebrities who are back in a size 0 right after having kids. Best of luck!

How do you get rid of the loose skin non-surgically, I thought that never went away

Lots of stregnth training and fat cutting diet and exercise will do it, your body will literally eat the skin. and targeting the lower abs will tighten the fascia. Mine was VERY bad last year, and this year, it's not so bad, it's alittle wrinkly sometimes, and it's not all taut, but it's gotten a lot better doing lots of sit ups (not crunches)

I guess I should start then

I remember the first time I tried to do a sit-up after about 3 months (I had a c-section) I literally could even budge off the ground...hmmmm maybe even still, I haven't tried.

This thread is over 2.5 years old, if you want to ask a question about a topic that old, it's better to just start a new thread. I haven't had kids, so I have no advice though.
