Hip Hop Abs...Does it really work?

So I saw the infomercial on Hip Hop Abs and it looks pretty cool. I mean you get to dance while working out. But Im kinda skeptical on it as with anything that is on TV. Have you guys/girls seen it or heard anything about it? Or even used it?

Work? As in loose weight, get toned?
Well anything that is a form of exercise and repetitive actions, and done with dedication will give you results...

it's probably decent cardio and moderately decent for toning, but you won't get ripped doing hip hop abs, that's for sure.

I think it would help to lose weight. You are only going to get those ripped abs if you follow a strict exercise AND diet regimen..

I was wondering the same thing so I did it for a little while. It did burn lol...but after a while (like 1 minute) it got REALLY boring. Try Tae Bo. I saw good results with that in 3 months (definition, toning, abs (4 pk...didn't stay with it long enough to get to six...i pulled a rib muscle and never went back to it).

Ya it says that it does your upper abs, lower abs, and obliques. Its kind of like doing crunches but standing up if that makes sense. But then again it looks like regular carido work out.
I dunnooo

iv seen that informercial too, i think it would be alright for pure cardio, but if you are looking for something that will really show you results, i would try something with more variety in the movements; cardio kickboxing is amazing. i see what they are trying to say, but i dont think you will move/use your balance enough with the hiphop, plus it just looks like it will get super boring... just imo. let us know how you like it if you try it

I'm glad I did a search here for this. I just got this delivered to me UPS. I have no idea why I got it. I didn't order it. Maybe someone thinks I'm getting flabby?

Anyhow it looks interesting and it came with this yoga type ball so what the hell, I'm gonna try it out. My elliptical is all I use now and I've been wanting some variety!

Oh and with it I got "Yoga Booty Ballet". Now that looks interesting!

I've tried yoga booty ballet - and it was FUN! but I def will not get "ripped" from it.
I suggest Pilates for strengthening abs...I just find it works best for me - better than crunches...

Well right now I have some flab there I need to get rid of before I can think about getting ripped so this might be good for that....and heck it was free.

haha I was sooo confused! Because Geebs was talking about wanting to try p90x, and I was like "wait, she's been doing it for awhile now..." then i looked at the date of this thread. haha

i think anything to get people off their asses will work. I mean, doing those goofy moves is better than sitting there doing nothing
