help slimming dow a tad bit

i'm a 36 trying to get down to a 32 in about 3 months anyone have any secrets on dropping a few waist sizes...

I know the secret.

Consume fewer calories than you use and get some cardio at LEAST 4-5 times a week. And don't cheat or make excuses. Eat fresh, eat healthy, and don't over eat. Exercise -- even if you're "too tired".

My husband lost 150 pounds.

There are no secrets or magic diets that get weight off and keep it off.

My boyfriend and my brother just started doing Spinning class this week with me. It works well for them, because they have a hard time sticking with a routine. When its at a set time on a set day, its easier to stick with.

Try to change the way you eat and make it a lifestyle!My mom lost 20 pounds in 2 months by just cutting out soda I lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks by giving up chocoalte and other sweets for 6 weeks I continued to loose inches and weight when I started watching what I ate and excercising. I am slowly returning back to my old body.When you slip up dont look at it as a tragedy and put things off until the next Sunday get back on track at your next meal if possible.

I think weight lifting is the most under-rated weight loss tool. The more muscle you have the more calories you will burn around the clock. The only cardio I do is walk around the lake (about 3 miles at a fast pace),ski every weekend in the winter, and hike in the summer. I have been able to maintain a muscular 110lbs ( I am only 5'3" so this is perfect) or under with weight lifting 4-5 days a week and I am in my 30s (when women typically start to pile on the pounds). Eat whole grains, make sure the ingredient list says whole wheat flour for breads, not unbleached wheat flour (which is basically the same as enriched flour, which is bad). Lots of veggies. Eat a salad with dinner every day, it help fill you up. Fat free plain yogurt is great for smoothies, and yogurt is known to help one lose weight around the middle.

I totally agree with strength training! While you might not notice much of a difference on the scales, you'll soon notice a difference in your body shape!

At least half an hour of cardio a day, and strength training a few times a week.

Cut down on salt and sugar, and switch from full-fat to skim milk. Grill or steam your food, eat chilli (speeds up the metabolism). If you have to have soft drinks/sodas then change to the diet variety.

I tell my personal training clients to keep a food diary. Writing down everything you eat, then looking back at the end of the week can be a nasty wake-up call for some people.

You don't need to spend a fortune on home exercise gear. A good pair of running/cross training shoes (get these professionally fitted somewhere like Footlocker, where they'll analyse your running style to see if you pronate or supinate and suggest appropriate shoes), a skipping rope, a couple of resistance bands and some dumbells and you're pretty much on your way. I'd also suggest swapping your computer chair for a Swiss ball. You'll be working your abs just sitting up straight.
