How do you get rid of the fat in your armpit region?

I know this is silly but I think I have fat skin around my armpits. Some dresses or tank tops that I wear squish the skin that is between my arm and my chest.

Any recommend exercises? I am thinking butteryfly curls or something of the sort.

I have seen pictures of you. You're desperately looking for something, reminds me of "do my ear lobes look fat?"
You're hot, and I haven't seen fat around your armpits. You have skin there, and tissue underneath. If that is squished it looks squished, not fat, which is totally normal and the case with you.
Sometimes I wish I could come over and shake you a little.

THis is the problem. I also used to be super conscious of this, but even when I was clearly underweight, it was there. I think if you've got boobs, there's gonna be some tissue in that area, of course! So it's not us, it's the clothes! I've found that wearing tank tops or tube tops that fit wider in the shoulders and neckline don't do the squishing thing, and solve the problem. I also often take in the straps to make them higher, and so they don't cut into that area.

Edit: Oh, and Jenn's right, I just saw a pic of you and see no fat at all!

Ooh ooh- I have the perfect exercise for that!! Standing rows! Stand in front of a mirror so you can watch your form. Take two dumbells or a barbell with weights. Standing straight (very important!), shoulders back and knees bent slightly hold the weights in your hands in front of your thighs If holding dumbells- hold them as close as possible together, with the end part facing left/right- almost making a "bar" and if using a barbell hold it in the same way with your hands a few inches apart- whatever is comfortable. Pull bar/dumbells straight up so your elbows are pointed outward. The top of the motion is when the bar/dumbells are aligned with your elbows (so you could basically make a straight line with the bar/dumbells from one elbow to the other). Even though it's a called a "rowing" motion, make sure to keep the bar/dumbells as close to your chest as possible without actually touching your chest- should be a smooth glide up and down (although the boobs can get in the way from time to time, lol). Do 3 sets of 12-15 with a minute of rest between sets. Use a weight that is heavy enough where the last 3 reps are a challenge but not impossible.

If someone wants to really step it up and do this in a more challenging way- my old personal trainer made me do this- do the above exercise and then follow it up immediately with push ups. Try for 10. Then rest a minute and do the rows again. The first set of push ups ain't bad. The second set is a little oh goodness. By the time you get to the third set you are like oh lord!!! heh heh Push ups are great to add in after any upper body exercise though because they use so many muscles. Throw them in between curls, overhead press, tricepts- anywhere and they add a killer boost.

Anyways, I absolutely swear by this exercise and do it almost every time I am at the gym. The times when I take a hiatus from the gym I do notice a difference in my chest and see that little blub coming back over my strapless top. Then I go back to these and boom, gone! My mom is currently doing these now to start getting ready for my wedding ;) Char you should see results very quickly because you have little body fat. Toning will show up pretty fast on people like you.

I have armpit fat too and I can't stand it. I workout and have good muscle tone but I cannot get rid of that damn fat. I know that it can be liposucked out.

Do chest exercises? Or like push ups? I think if you wear the correct sized bra, tank top etc, they aren't as noticeable. It does get annoying though... when you want to wear strapless tops or dresses. I usually just size up then get a tailor to take it in so that it fits without squishing the "chicken fat".

you mean, like this?

Seriously - I'm 15 pounds underweight (supposedly) and I still have this problem. I think it depends on how you're built, whether you get extra fat there or not. Rather than stress about it, I just buy tops that are cut wide enough to cover the area. The right bra helps too, and the wrong one can make the problem much worse.

The breast is like a tear drop shape that extends into the armpit.

Uggh. I have it too and it makes me self conscious. I use to be very muscular and still had that problem, so I don't think it is a matter of being in shape. I think you either have it or you don't

i know im late to this..... just wanted to add
KICKBOXING!!

i still have some of that (and i dont have the boobs to warrant it, believe me) but my arms have gotten crazy toned (not big, just defined) since i started kickboxing. its all cardio, no weight, so its really good for losing fat in your upper body -whole body if you do it right and have good form.
i it and swear by it. i live with my bf and we eat pizza/tailgate/drink copious amonts of beer (see=man food) every weekend and without my kick i would not be able to fit into all my PD come monday!!

I have the SAME problem and I'm the same height and weight as you. I also wear a 0/2 /xs, so people freak out when I want to get rid of the armpit fat.

I just got a halter today that sucks with my armpit flab popping out the sides. I hate it and came online for an answer. lol not a freakout session over being petite.
