abs

just started a new program a couple of weeks ago and part of it calls for hanging leg raises...not the kind where you put your arms in the slings. just grab something and hang on and raise your knees to your chest. i'm sore as hell every time i do them. i was doing crunches on the ball and other types of leg raises before...not sore. good exercise!!

What are abs? Can I find them underneath the flubber currently located between my boobs and my thighs?

I think you hang vertically. We used to do those in gymnastics along with one where you life your legs up straight until your ankles touch the bar. They both really hurt.

Yeah, those are awesome. I have them at the gym I go to. My favorite for abs are an incline bench and a medicine ball ( about a 8-10 pound one). Lay on the incline bench and slowly come up half way holding the ball at your chest. I do 3-4 sets of 25 of those. You can also come up halfway with the ball and turn to each side, geting the obliques ( or sides). My favorite.

I love this exercize.

I've also done a similar one where you hang vertically (like shown) but you just swing your legs up so the yare paralell to the floor.

But i agree, we need pics...about 100 of them just to be sure it works!

I do those too. If you want to make it hurt more, try leaning back a bit while you're doing it. This is the only ab exercise I do. It hurts, but if you can do them, they're really effective!
