so from personal experience and what i have read in the past, it is more than okay to work out while sore. i think the general rule is: if you are very sore, like at a 7, then rest but if you are at a 3, then it's okay to work out but you should take it easier. and if i'm in between and my legs are not the major issue...if i really don't want to skip a full work out day, i do like the user above suggests, cardio. a nice jog or low impact elliptical machine. hope this helps.
