try doing leg extensions in a chair, or leg curls while lying in bed, both without any weights. believe me, after about 30-40 repititions, you'll be feeling it
. however, this will only exercise the muscles above the knee (quads, hams)... exercising your calf muscles (gastroc, soleus) with an immobilized foot is, im pretty sure, unfortunately impossible.
thanks for the tips! i will do those. i think something is better than nothing; i would rather deal with that part being atrophied than the entire leg! i should have the cast removed after about 4 or 5 weeks and then i get a removable medical boot, which i can take off to try some exercises too. i should probably be able to manage a little weight on the foot too, although it might not support all whopping 100 pounds of me
how happy am i now that my brother has that goofy weight bench in his room! will come in handy!
