Chalean from same makers of P90X

I was wondering if anyone else has tried Chalean?

I have it and I really like it. I am also a fan of P90X, but I like Chalean b/c there is more focus on the lower body, workouts are all around 30-35 minutes, and it is 5 days a week.

I just purchased it and did the first workout. I do the second one today. I can't wait to see how it works out for me. What results have you seen and how long have you been doing it?

Hm... I may have to give this a try! I have a hard time committing 1 hr/day to P90X. 30 mins is much more doable.

Totally agree. I like it better than P90X. I think the shorter workouts are better because I can really push myself for a shorter amount of time instead of making sure I have enough energy to get through the whole workout. Using this workout I was able to work up to 20lbs on arms ... something I couldn't do in p90x.

I usually stick some cardio in on one of the rest days.

I was thinking about buying this for college, what other accessory items (like weights, resistance bands, etc.) do you need to buy with it? I just can't be spending you know, like $200 or even really $150. The program is $120 on beach body - can you get it cheaper anywhere else? Thanks!

^^ you need either free weights or resistance bands and a "thigh toner" but I think that comes with it?

Yes, I got the whole deluxe kit with the bands and books on ebay for $75! I was lucky with that auction, but some of the other ones end between $70-$110. I am about to do my second day workout and I really do like this one better than the P90x so far only, because like everyone else is saying the workouts are shorter, so I have a better chance of sticking to them. I will probably add some cardio in after weight training to accelerate my results.

I am not positive, but I think this is not allow. Anything that advertises yourself or benefits you in any way is not allowed. I think it is on a sticky somewhere in the forum.

I am on the second week of the program and liking the results so far. It is not as intense as P90x, but certainly gets the job done. I think after I finish this program I will do the P90x. I had started it, but found I was sore for about 2 days and kept skipping workouts. This seems like a great program to get you in shape for P90x if you don't want to jump right into it.

Is anyone else doing this program too?

I'm doing the program. I just started week 3 and I really look forward to the workouts. I like Chalean much better than Power 90 and I think I'm really going to stick to this one. So far I have lost four pounds. I have two more weeks before I can take my measurements. If I can clean up in the eating department then I know I will see the results I want.

Good luck kdd2411!

I agree! I really look forward to these workouts. I dreaded the P90x workouts even though I know they are good for me. I think I'm not up to that intensity just yet. Congrats on the weight loss so far!

I'm coming up on my 30th day in the burn phase. Only 60 more days to go until the end. I really should get my eating in order if I really want to see major results.

I'm on day 39 and it feels like I have gotten stronger. I didn't take any pics at the 30 day mark because I know I didn't make any progess at least from what the mirror/measurements tells me. I will take my pics when I hit the 90 day mark. I have been pretty good about working out but I just can't seem to kick my bad eating habits. How is everyone else doing? Seeing any changes or progress?

^^^That's great. I wish I can start seeing some changes in the mirror. I guess if I'm getting stronger then I guess that's good too. I just have to start eating better, especially with having only 50 more days to go. I never thought I would make it this far. Are you following any type of specific eating plan or or you just trying to eat healthier?

How is everyone doing? I'm on day 64, can't believe I made it this fas without quitting. Due to my bad eating habits once I am done with this last phase, I am going to start a second round of Chalean with an on point eating plan because even though I have gotten stronger I still feel like I have wasted 60 days since I have seen no changes in my measurements.

^^^the first time around I made it to day 75. I didn't see any major changes because I wasn't eating correctly. I was getting stronger though. I just started over and I am on week 3 and this time I'm following Weight Watchers as my eating plan. I plan to move onto Insanity once I hit day 90 on Chalean but we'll see what kind of changes I see this time around.

Wow congrats on sticking with it! I have just been lacking motivation lately. I saw Insanity and it looks like a great program. I want to order it, but it is pretty costly. Where did you purchase yours from?
