Need advice on losing weight

I need some advice on the types of foods too eat and some exercise's I can do. I already do Ab slides and sit ups daily. I need to do more though cause I am barly fitting into a size 32. I just have a bigger butt and legs. I want to thin out my legs and hip area.....but I LOVE MY BUTT, so I don't want to change that part of me. Please help......I wanna get skinnier. I don't want to be any smaller than a 7/8.....cause when I was a size 5 (before kids), people thought I was anorexic. I have a unusual body.....A size 5 on me looks like a size 2 to everyone else cause I have to size up just because of my butt. I know people can relate to this.......so I hope someone with my body type can help me lose weight correctly.

My quick reply is to incorporate at least 30 minutes of cardio into your routine.

The experts will chime in with greater advice soon! I just wanted to say something since you've voiced this concern before in another thread

Yes at least 30 mins cardio 4-5x a week. Unfortunately you can't target which areas of your body that you lose weight. You could also do some squats and lunges maybe 2x a week to firm up. I'm also trying to lose about 10 pounds so I can fit into all the jeans I bought.

I also find that I REALLY need to cut down my eating portions or else I never lose weight no matter how much I work out - and cut out juice and coke- try crystal light instead- my hardest is cutting out chocolate so sometimes I drink light hot chocolate instead. You could also try cutting out some carbs to have a more protein rich diet, and eat lots of veggies, drink lots of water

Lately when I have been jogging, all I think about are my crystal roths sitting there brand new - so make a goal for yourself!

I go for 150 mins of cardio a week, either grouped up into one or two days, or spread out into like two ten minute sessions a day, and dont start counting when you start going, start when you get your heart rate up.

eat more veggies, cut fat & processed sugar

Aim for less processed foods (whole grains, fruit and veggies, lean meats and beans, low-fat dairy) and watch portion control. Have broth-based soups as appetizers. Eat a fairly large salad before the main course. Small things but they make a difference.

Agreed that you should do some cardio - even a small amount makes a difference if you're not doing any yet. Walking, running, elliptical machines, stairmasters - they are all ok.

I wouldn't worry excessively about your butt if you still had it when you were a size 5 - it sounds like it will be there at any weight. So just watch yourself when you get down to your goal weight and if you keep losing past there, just up your calories to maintain the weight you like.

Well, I have been doing stomach excersizes for awhile since I did just have a baby. I never thought my diet was to bad. I like to eat tuna or turkey sandwich's. I do eat alot of baked potatoes. Well, when my daughter was born I lost so much weight sooooo quickly. I weghted less than before I got pregnant only a month later. But the holidays I managed to gain 12 pounds. So I have been really trying to lose the weight.

I also went out and bought some Vitamin B-complex to gain more enerygy. And also started taking Vitamin C. The first 2 days I swore I gained weight as I felt huge and my stomach was sticking out. But now I feel like it is starting to work. I am starting to feel like my body is ready to lose the weight. I am excited and can't wait to get a little smaller. I don't want to be stick thin....I just am not into that, I don't think it looks good ( I mean for people of my height). So hopefully I will get down to a size 7 or 9.
