SKIPPING!!!

I just bought this talking jump rope and am so excited to start using it! It tells your your calorie count and everything while you're jumping.

I totally think skipping is underrated! I mean, it's pretty much like running on the spot, right? only more fun and you can feel like a kid again hahaha!! What even happened to skipping!?! everyone just seemed to stop after elementary school and move on to more expensive type workouts.

I'M BRINGING SKIPPING BACK! ;)

also you will find that jumping with both feet will be a better workout than running on the spot

Whats the name of the jump rope and where did you get it? I've been on the lookout for a good jump rope.

lol...I picked up a "low-tech" skipping rope last year, but I don't know where to use it...I need higher ceilings! Thanks for reminding me about it.
I find some of the digital workout gear to be a bit superfluous. Do you have to enter in your weight and height or something to calibrate it to your body?

Skipping rope and hula hooping. I could keep my hula hoop up as long as I wanted in my childhood. Dunno about now though! Does hula hooping do anything at all?

i think it's just some no-name one, i got it off ebay. i was just looking for a regular jump rope, but the talking one was cheaper anyways.

yes you do enter your weight and everything for it to calculate. I haven't really messed with the settings yet... gotta get some batteries first.

there's only three different types you can get

- a regular rope. unweighted. you can't go very fast and is only really good for cardio.

- a regular rope with weight attached. same as the above except the extra weight will work your arms/shoulders

- speed rope. made out of rubbery plastic or something of the sort. you need this if you are training for explosiveness/speed, or want to do double or triple skips.

I think I have a speed rope and I don't like it very much. My dad has a weighted rope, omg that thing is impossible!!

I have a cheapo one but it's great for days when i don't want to drive 30 min to the gym and it's too messy outside for a run. I've been using jump rope for 15 years, since my mom gave me a wood-handled rope one in high school.

I always skip at the beach, right next to the water. It's great fun
