Yes, jogging is great, but you need to do other things. I am a runner, but I add in:lunges, push-ups, squats and abs to my normal workouts.
You can also vary the running by adding short sprints, longer/slow runs, shorter but faster paced runs etc. I mix up my workouts because running itself does not do the job alone. I add kick-boxing, weights, elliptical and the stair-stepper to see max results.
30-60 minutes of cardio/day is recommended daily.
