Tony Hurton's 10 minute trainer

I ordered it last night. Has anyone used it? I read a few things about it on the px90 thread but I was looking for more reviews of it. I haven't worked out in 4 months so I figured this would be a good start. Also are running shoes okay with this?

There was a thread about it a while ago... here it is:http://www.authenticforum.com/af-hea...e-trainer.html

I have it and think it's pretty decent as long as you don't just do one workout a day. One is better than nothing, but for results like you see in the infomercials, you'll have to do 2 or 3 a day, I'd think. It's great for me because I just don't have the time to commit to P90x and an hour at least per day. Hope you like it!

I've never tried P90x or anything by Tony Horton but i think you could probably get the same workout without having to get his videos. Just invest in a few resistance bands.

Here is what i would suggest trying if you are looking for a quick workout:

40 resistance band cross-over walks (you can increse your reps if you like these are just basics).

40 resistance band curls with an overhead press

push-ups (as many as you can do. Also try some variations and different hand placement when doing push ups).

free standing squats and lunges (walking lunges are the best)

interval training (try jumping rope for 2 minutes and then stepping in placefor 2 minutes...lather rinse and repeat for about 15 minutes).

Hope that helps somewhat

you probably wouldn't need to wear running shoes or shoes at all if you are doing it at home. When doing any form of resistance training you shouldn't wear shoes actually. When i am doing my leg routine at the gym with heavyweights i do it barefoot.

I bought it for my man and tried it out. He is so goofy in a very annoying way that I tried it once and that was the end. He uses it and likes it though. What linds says is a lot of what is on the dvds.

Just got it in the mail

So I just got the kit in the mail. I was expecting a much larger box. Anyways everything is in it. I took the before pictures and I am considering posting them so that I will be inspired to work out more. They look so bad. After my workout I have to stock the house with food. I have been on vacation for 2 weeks so everything fresh is gone. I am going to try and keep a little journal type thing with results if anyone is interested. If no one is interested than I will just waste wed space and put them on here anyway.

I need to start this again... maybe if you post your workouts it will motivate me to do some too, haha! Seriously, it's only 10 minutes a day (well, 20 or 30 if I stack like I want to), but I keep making excuses!

So I did the Cardio this morning and it was really hard. I am really uncordinated so that doesn't help either. I was suprised how much strength I have lost because I haven't worked out in a really long time. I think I am only going to do the cardio today. I am a wimp. I did the measurements this morning so I know where I stand with that. My legs already hurt.

So yesterday I was very sore. I didn't do any tony hurton. I just walked my dog for a few miles. She was tired. Today I did the total body and it was a good workout. I am going to walk the dog so that will be it for the day. I have been eating really well. So hopefully I will the results I want. I printed out my before pictures and I put them on the fridge. That should keep me from snacking on crap. I also bought tons of fresh food that I have been eating all day. Good luck to everyone who is working out too!

Ugh not. lol I have been going to the gym twice a week though and have cut out white carbs. The videos were too intense for me.

I the videos, but I just haven't been able to find the time, as absolutely insane as that sounds. I'm still dancing three nights a week, so I rationalize not working out the other nights to myself... after this week I'm going to try to get back on the horse though - if I do, I'll post updates.
